I had a great experience at the Silver Diner in Waldorf, Maryland. My server, Kevin, was excellent—professional, attentive, and genuinely helpful. I ordered his recommendation, the Snake River Farms chopped steak, and it was absolutely delicious. The host, Andrea, was warm and welcoming and set a positive tone for the entire visit.
The only downside was hearing managers yelling across the restaurant at employees, which was surprising and took away a bit from the otherwise great atmosphere. Despite that, the overall quality of service from the staff I interacted with was phenomenal.

We went in for dinner and the food was great as always but the service was subpar.
If you don’t want to come to work then don’t. That was the vibe of our service. That was the only negative other than that the food was spectacular for the most part my warm vegetable salad did not have all that was advertised and my aunts hanger steak took forever to come out only to be over cooked she asked for medium well.

Food tasty but not to order. Service was friendly but we were never offered refills, ordered hamburger received cheese burger, ordered short rib burger with no jalapeño received short rib burger with lots of jalapeño, ordered Ruben received Ruben with no Russian dressing… not the first time disappointed with service at this location. Normally, we enjoy the nostalgic music but listening to In The Mood over 10 times in 2 hours was not fun. Chocolate Peanut Butter dessert was awesome.

Me and my friend went here for dinner passing through Waldorf, and it was the absolute best service and food we’ve ever had. Mia was our waitress and George was the supervisor who both waited on us. They were so professional and kind. I tried to take a photo of my food, but it was so good I ate half of it before posting I wish this place was in my hometown!!! We WILL be visiting again if we pass thru!

Overall a 5 – updated modern diner ambiance, wait staff service thoughtful welcome from maitre d and attentive friendly wait service from Mia. Country salad was a delight as well as the seasonal special smack burger – minor issue was the a bit dry brioche bun.

I have been coming here for several years now. I would like to highly praise the host , Richelle, who has been exceptional in her personality, performance, manners, hospitality, and customer service. She has always been the same from the very first time I was greeted by her. She is very knowledgeable of her job, food, and was able to answer any question I present to her. I noticed she was out for a little while and I tell you I missed her presence. I always look forward to seeing and being greeted by her smile and service. Richelle is simple a pleasure.

This place is good all around. Great diner vibes with the juke boxes. Phenomenal breakfast served all day, and I haven’t had anything from their menu that was bad. The chicken pot pie is always amazing and big enough to split. Booths are just big enough for my family of 5. I haven’t been to any other locations for this chain, but if they are anything like this one, they are worth a stop!

I had no idea this place had a bar! Great place to grab lunch or an early dinner. The Cobb salad was delicious as well as the fresh cheeseburger and fries. I didn’t get a milkshake this time but they are made the old-fashioned way which just seems to blend better. The food selection covers most quick meal selections but is made with a white tablecloth feel. The establishment maintains an old-school vibe that can be appreciated. It is very quiet and clean like a restaurant should be!

Had breakfast today, the food was outstanding. Tried lemon ricotta short stack with pistachios and side of scrambled eggs with cheese. My husband had blue plate special, sausage very lean and fresh. My eggs were fluffy and tasty. Short stack was unique and delicious. Love the fact that food is local farm fresh. I highly recommend this place. Shout out to Jahlia our waitress, she was efficient, thorough and friendly. Knows the menu and food selections very well.
