It’s been a minute since I wrote a review, I’ve been “low carbing”. It’s been many many years since I’ve eaten anything from Silver Bay, I am not a seafood person. I did enjoy an early dinner at Silver Bay in Easley with my cousin from Memphis TN, other family and friends. They do have low carb options, I kind of stepped off a little. I ordered the grilled chicken breast(1) over rice pilaf and a salad with a Diet Pepsi to drink. Y’all it was so hard and tempting to eat one of those hush puppies dipped in that honey butter!!! I was STRONG and did not touch them! The grilled chicken was tender with a good flavor and so was the rice pilaf. The restaurant was clean, it wasn’t smelling fishy(one of the reasons I had not been there for years), and the service from our waitress was top notch! I had a very enjoyable dinner, and as usual it’s always nice to spend time with family.

Loved this place way better then Red Lobster. Totally recommend! Great service! The workers are very pleasant people. Food was awesome. The icetea was not that great. That was only thing did not like. Still deserves five stars. Got 2 t shirts to advertise for them cause we liked them so much.

It was decorated well for Christmas with a nice coastal vibe. Other than that, it was a regular old restaurant. The Coconut shrimp were kind of hard to bite into, the hush puppies and the cinnamon butter were delicious. Service was good and everyone received their meal at the same time.

Clearly this place is a community staple.
The service was amazing , but the fish pieces were indistinguishable from each other. It tasted as if each type of fish was dipped in the exact same batter and fried together. Oddly the sides were pretty tasty, (I had the fried okra, I’m certain was frozen and just fried and the greens, which were most-likely from a can) but the Alaska fish and the clams, etc. all tasted about the same, only distinguished by texture, not flavor or taste.
As well, the decor was wayyyy outdated.
However the restaurant itself was really clean, the staff was really extremely courteous and the atmosphere was quiet and family oriented.
While personally because I cook and have run restaurants I most-likely won’t return, the food after all is the attraction but I overall didn’t feel bad about the experience, which says alot about how nice the folks there were and how they made me feel. 0

We had a great time here! They use the Calabash style for all their fried foods so the hushpuppies, fries, onion rings etc. are all excellent. I got crab legs and they were amazingly tender and sweet, some of the best I’ve ever had. My partner got the fish sandwich and they said it was flavorful. The fish tasted very fresh, it came out piping hot and held the heat for a while. Our only criticisms are that the sandwich had shredded lettuce rather than whole leaf style and I didn’t love the butter that came with my crab; it seemed more like butter-flavored sauce than real clarified butter. But otherwise the meal was perfect. We also love the presentation of everything: cute little salad plates, painted walls, a well-kept fish tank, just a great place all around. Thank you, Silver Bay!

The fried flounder was thick, moist, and delicious.
If you’re accustomed to Calabash style fish camp atmosphere, you’ll find something you like here.
These folks do a good job of getting portions right. We were not too hungry but wanted seafood while we were in town and Silver Bay filled the bill perfectly.
BTW – the baked sweet potato was a meal in itself and cooked to perfection.
Thanks so much, Silver Bay! We’ll be back soon.

We were out doing errands. I’ve been craving seafood lately. So we went to Silver Bay Seafood Easley. Our delightful server Courtney served us delicious hush puppies when we sat down. They serve them fresh/hot! We ordered a dozen shrimp cocktails as an appetizer. Cocktail sauce packed a good kick/it was zingy. Hubby got a fried chicken salad. I ordered the special of 5 cluster snow crab legs w/broccoli. I’m gonna be honest. More than half the snow crab legs were half empty. My husband heard it when I was cracking them open. To compensate, they gave me more crab legs. The flavor of the snow crab legs tasted like the ocean. Not as much seasoning as I’d like. However, their clam chowder/side of broccoli was perfectly seasoned. Prices are affordable. My meal was $31.99. Total price $70.10 cash. Absolutely great service w/Courtney. Thursday’s are all you can eat crab legs. I should’ve come 1 day earlier! Great seafood restaurant altogether! I think I’d like to try other food options next time. Like the steak, fried seafoods/pastas as well. For that price/service, you can’t beat it!

The food was good but the service the day I went was not good. The owner said they had some people out and apologized. The chowder was good, along with the pork chows and blooming onion. The onion rings and sweet potato fries were not good to me. I will try this place again.

This place was awesome my wife and I drove in from Indianapolis and pass by the place heading to our hotel. After checking in out hotel we had to drive another 10 miles the opposite direction to get to Silver Bay seafood. It was worth the drive and then some. My wife and I look forward to coming back. The food was excellent the customer service was phenomenal.
