It was recommended to me by a guy while I was in Hannibal Mo. doing a pick up, it was mid afternoon, and I was hungry! It was cheap and affordable. Even though price doesn’t bother me. The quality of the food was outstanding! I ordered two catfish fillets and was amazed at how well they were cooked and tasted…
When I go back later in the month I will definitely be stopping there for more food!

Cozy small diner locally and veteran owned. Very neat decor of Navy ships and items. Small menu serving breakfast and lunch items. Food was good. Service was a bit slow but there was only one waitress serving, bussing tables and taking payments for all customers.

Great little diner. Even with just one person on serving duty, service was quick and friendly. Daily specials are the way to go. Prices are a bargain!

We stopped in for a late lunch and had the chicken fried steak with mashed potatoes and gravy and the fried catfish meal, both on the daily specials menu. The food was delicious and served quickly. The price was very reasonable for the size of our meals. We will definitely be back the next time we are in the area around lunchtime.

We found this little gem on our way home from Hannibal. The place was neat and clean. Our waitress was very friendly and efficient. The delicious food came out piping hot and freshly cooked, prepared by a Navy Veteran!! The portions were generous too! We had a great dining experience, and we will definitely stop in again sometime.

This is such a well kept secret! My husband found it while looking for a place to grab some lunch on our way to Forest City Iowa and said it sounded very nautical and since he’s retired Navy just had to stop. We didn’t realize we going a true gem and yes the chef had been in the navy. The fried catfish was so incredible we hustled back on our way home to get some more. Since we were traveling in an RV we indulged in pie—banana cream, lemon meringue, and chocolate cream pie. We took them with us and had two of them that night. Had the chocolate cream pie tonight and shared it. They were all delightful but the chocolate cream pie was so much more. It was more like a rich mousse. We will arrange our travel next year to catch the Silver Anchor Diner to indulge once again on the fantastic food! Oh and the service was quick and friendly. The chef could easily take his skills to any Michelin restaurant but we hope he stays right where he is—at least until our next trip. Thank you for such an enjoyable meal—both of them.

This is such a great place! Scott is an excellent cook, and Heidi takes real good care of your order. The food is delicious! Scott keeps the grill hot, so it doesn’t take long for him to get your food on and ready to eat. Scott is ex-Navy, and if you are Navy, or ex-Navy, this place is a must. This place has a good small town atmosphere. It is a favorite hangout of all the locals. My kids really enjoy coming here, and look forward to it every time.

The service and burger was good. The waitress was prompt and friendly. There are a good selection of items on the menu. Four star rating was because the food was good but not notable. Owned and run by a retired Navy veteran. Respect!

Great place to eat at really great prices. The staff here is amazing. The waitress is one of the best waitresses you could ever have. The cook is an excellent cook and does his best to make sure you leave happy and content. An all around great place for ultimately any occasion. There couldn’t be a better little place to eat anywhere else. Highly recommend you’ll definitely be hooked after your first visit. I know i sure was and plan on going alot more.

The BEST tenderloin on the planet. Others tell me all their food is great, but I can’t escape the grasp of the tenderloin. Every. Time. I. Go.
Seriously, incredible food. Go, eat well, tip your server and chef like there’s no tomorrow!
