Today I visited a Thai restaurant in a neighboring area that I go to from time to time. Whenever I really want to experience authentic Thai food, this is the place I choose. There are Thai restaurants in my neighborhood too, but honestly, this place truly makes me feel like I’ve come to Thailand.
The moment you walk in, you’re welcomed by incredibly friendly staff who show the warm and graceful hospitality that Thai people are known for. It instantly sets the mood for a great dining experience.
I love spicy food, so I ordered the red curry. They offer five levels of spiciness, and even level 2 is enough to really enjoy the heat. I bravely chose level 4 this time… and let’s just say I was sweating quite a bit while eating! Next time, I think I’ll go with level 3.
Anyway, the people who live around here are so lucky to have this gem in their neighborhood.

My wife and daughter absolutely love this place. I ate here for the first time a couple of weeks ago. The dinning area is nice, comfortable and warm. My wife and daughter ordered their usual curries but I went for one of my favorites, Pad Thai. Unfortunately the Pad Thai was the only dish that I did not think was spectacular. Sometimes when you get used to a dish at a different place it kind of ruins it for you at others. We had the fried calamari app which was AMAZING. Both my girls curries were outstanding and my son in laws drunken noodles were also very good.
I would definitely return for the food, I personally would not get the Pad Thai.
Overall, outstanding food.

I wanted to impress my family since I love thai food but i only have tried it in florida, texas and california (states with more diversity). And so far this place was good, we ordered steak salads and the steak was dry but it had really great taste. We prolly were just too early and had old steak. But i have gone there months ago and had curry and it was delicious. I will def give it another try. I do wish they had more dessert options and dishes like branzino or red snapper.

Curry was fresh, but almost too hot that I couldn’t get the taste at first. I only got level 2/5 spicy which wasn’t bad at all. Once the heat of fresh cook went down there was great flavor in the veggies and pineapple. Loved they offer hot tea along with water because the space while nice and open is very cold. I’d recommend some central heat to make it more comfortable. The staff was very nice and welcoming. My wife and I will go back again.

Very authentic Thai food! Can’t believe we can find such an Asian restaurant in Independence.
Tom Yum and Pepper Steak are awesome, so is the green curry.
Will definitely come again and bring family. Nice and sweet service, quiet place. Love it!

my favorite spot in independence! They’re also just super kind there. Love the Thai tea and coffee from here:) I got the salad rolls only today and they were pretty good! They just had something different today that tasted a little minty that hadn’t been there before. Love the peanut sauce from here!

Stopped by on a Friday evening on a road trip through Oregon. Service was a little slow but the lady who took our orders and served us was nice. I love the variety of options on the menu and the food tasted good. I like the ambience of the restaurant. Will definitely visit again if I’m ever back this way.

Silk Thai was a wonderful lunch spot for me and my buddy. We had planned to go to another location, but had to shift plans when we discovered the other was closed for the day. I had never been to Silk, and my buddy recommended it.
If you cant tell by the photo, I was already digging in to my Pad Thai when I realized I had not taken a photo yet. The food arrived fast, but my hunger overruled my judgement and I immediately dove in and started to enjoy it.
I think it’s hard to really pull out intricacies of Pad Thai across restaurants, but for Silk, one thing I did notice wad how much chicken they added to the dish. It was full and hearty in portion and was a nice surprise. There was some rich onion flavors to the dish as well, and I had asked for a 5 on spice level and was pleased with the heat intensity it was.
The location and staff were wonderful. Especially how nice, sincere and welcoming the staff was. A great experience and I will absolutely be back soon for another meal.
