Great place for bbq. Locally owned and operated by people who know how to cook bbq. I had the plate special with bbq beans and fried okra. Ribs fell off the bone and was delicious. Stop on your trip to the beach and takes some with you. Military and First Responders discounts

Great folks that aren’t about to let you leave hungry.
From the BBQ special with Pulled Pork Sandwich & (huge) Ribs (with two homemade sauces at the table), to the Gigantic Cheeseburger, to their own smoked pork & beans, to the house made French Fries, to some of the best fried Okra… it’s all just great.
Make sure to say hi to Waylon when he greets you out front. He likes belly scratches. (Especially from the girls)
My wife went shopping in the Mercantile up front and got some local honey, homemade soap and regrets not getting some dilly beans or corn salsa.. but it gives us another reason to go back again for sure. (As if we needed any)

The waitress seemed very shy. I liked the selections they had in their store and I bought several things. I’ve tried the salad dressings and they were good. However, the bun was huge! That may be a good thing but all the meat fell out when I tried to pick it up. Also, there were only 8 french fries. They were good fries too, so I would have appreciated more. They tasted like real potatoes.

Awesome BBQ, fantastic sides, great “down home” atmosphere. It’s worth whatever drive you must make to get some. The mercantile shop is well stocked with all sorts of homemade fair. From sauces and marinades to things for around the home. The service was fantastic and memorable. If you haven’t tried it, you should go now.

Best place in town for barbecue. Owners are so generous and friendly, will give you samples to try because they care about customer satisfaction. We can only echo what others have said: Delicious smoked ribs and pulled pork. Tasty sides and homemade BBQ sauces, and fast & friendly service from owner (and head chef) Danny and crew. (Danny will even give you some good grilling tips if you ask!) The only thing this place is missing is a better sign on the road! (If you know anyone in the “restaurant signage” business, have ’em stop by and work their magic!)

Food was delicious and it did not disappoint. Hard to find real good bbq. Sides were just as good. The backed beans were fantastic and the garlic bread was just as good. A little drive outside of town but well worth it. A must try. You will not be disappointed.

This was a very pleasant experience! Food was so good my boys devoured the cheeseburgers !! Said it was the best they had ever had. I had the loaded BBQ potatoe absolutely delicious. Just a down to earth restaurant they care about their customers. You feel appreciated!
