I ordered a chicken and steak bowl and it came with zero steak. When I asked about it, they told me it was “because it’s chicken and steak,” but if I knew I’d be getting maybe three tiny pieces of steak, I would’ve just ordered a full steak bowl.

For the price, it’s disappointing to feel like you’re not getting what you paid for. Quality and portion consistency definitely need improvement.

THIS HAPPENED AT JACKSONVILLE BEACH LOCATION. I had not touched my bowl prior to this photo…

Sierra Grille is one of my favorite Tex Mex places to eat at the beach. Service is quick (even during dinner rush) and the food is always fresh. My wife and I get steak burritos and it’s always a filling meal. The salsa bar is good to put on your burrito, salad or chips, all made fresh daily. I’ve also had the sierra salad with chicken and they definitely load it up with everything a taco salad should have. You can even eat the bowl afterwards! My mother who is lactose-intolerant eats here no problem after she requests no cheese or sour cream, just let the staff know when ordering. I have been coming to Sierra Grille for years, and I will continue coming back. 5/5 very good

Sierra Grill in Jacksonville has been a family staple for as long as I can remember. We stop here every single time we pass through, and it never disappoints. The food is consistently fresh, flavorful, and absolutely delicious. Their burritos are my personal favorite—perfectly prepared every time, loaded with quality ingredients, and packed with incredible flavor.

The salsa bar and chips are another major highlight. Everything tastes homemade, vibrant, and authentic. It’s the kind of place where the quality never slips, no matter how many years go by.

After decades as a loyal patron, I can confidently say Sierra Grill is one of the best spots around. If you’re anywhere near Jacksonville and craving fresh, satisfying food, this is the place to go!

Ordered Peruvian Chicken plate and Fajita burrito. Both were bland. They sell their “salsa bar” which also fall flat on taste. Chips were awful. Workers were great even though it was busy at 6:30pm.

First time visit, quick service but disappointed with the price to food ratio. The surf and turf burrito was about 80% lettuce with just a negligible amout of beef around the edge, 4 shrimp was decent but at 15 dollars I feel like it fell a little short. The beef that was present was good and tender and pink, how it should be. Salsa bar is a nice feature.

Food was mehhhh, bland, and tasteless. The chicken had NO seasoning, was rubbery, and did not enhance the overpriced salad. Chipotle’s is way better in a taste comparison. Light dinner for 2, $30, and so boring.

Ok Mexican with fresh elements buy not as much flavor as expected. Chicken/broccoli burrito was large and good quality. Tortilla chips tasted from a bag and the salsa bar was good. Will try again.

Unfortunately, Sierra Grille has gone downhill. Prices keep increasing, but portions and service have declined. I tried calling in an order and was put on hold, then hung up on. When I went in to order, I paid $16 each for surf and turf burritos that were undersized with barely any protein. This is far from what used to be their standard. Extremely disappointing and not worth the price. I won’t be returning anytime soon.

Extremely basic. We all found our food to be pretty sub par and overpriced for what you got. Starting with the kids pizza which was a small tortilla with some cheese and chip…period. the Sierra platter with marinated pork was dry and tasteless. The nachos were really poor as seen by the pictures. The rest of the dishes were all dull. Every dish was cold.

In summary for the same price you should head to mezcals were the portions are bigger, tastier, and at the same price.

We shared a southwest burrito it comes with chips and the salsa bar. It was very good and we loved the variety of salsas. It was enough to share for a small meal. The restaurant and bathrooms were clean. We will definitely come back.
