Stopped in for lunch — wasn’t busy. The server was very friendly and efficient. It was clean. The food was 4/5, service 5/5. The food was good — wasn’t exceptional, but it was good. The sopapillas were fantastic though!! I wish I could have eaten more of them. A good little place to stop if you need food!

Stopped for lunch on the way to Capulin. Have driven by many times. The reviews were decent, so we thought we’d try it. The food was delicious, but it really seemed that since we were not locals, we were treated as outsiders that weren’t wanted there by our waitress. It was quite obvious by the way she interacted with the other customers who were obviously locals by the topics of their conversations. If you want good food but not necessarily good service, stop in for a bite to eat.

Waitress: very quick to take your order, but doesn’t return what you ask for. Water, lemon, no ice; how simple is that? Brings me back a full glass of water WITH ice, and no lemon; “We don’t have any lemon here” and pats me on the back. Didn’t ask for cheese on our hash brown, but she also didn’t tell us it came with cheese. It’s NM food, I guess; maybe that’s how it’s prepared. Don’t look at me crazy when I say bring me one without. When one asks for soft scramble, one expects soft scramble. Bet she didn’t address that to the cook! All of our eggs were beaten and DRY! We had to use knives to cut through eggs. Yes, we should’ve declined at that point but our 3 littles were hungry.

Stopped in and my wife and I had the same dinner.. Hamburger steak with onions and gravy, mashed potatoes with gravy, with a salad and green beans! Food was cooked absolutely perfect…dinner was seasoned and we asked for onions to be cooked almost burnt…and they were great!! Finished dinner off with homemade apple pie alamode! Waitress was awesome friendly and attentive! I would definitely stop again!!
