Our meal was fantastic. We started with the bruschetta and had a starter Cesar, then moved into Prime Rib and SeaBass for our main course.
We didn’t feel like we were being rushed, though it was a very busy night. Our waitress was on point.
Being from the Bay Area, we have some really amazing fine restaurants and now living in El Dorado Hills, we are very limited to nice restaurants so Sienna is a pleasure, well worth a visit.
The food was excellent and well worth the price. Our waiter was outstanding and made sure to check on us every time he walked by to ask if we needed anything. I would recommend this place to anyone. Great for a date night.
Everything we ordered was amazing. I had the scallop risotto. Let’s just say the most tender and perfectly cooked scallops ever. The others in my party had sea bass and short ribs. Tasted each one and was very impressed. All bar drinks we order were very well balanced and went down very smoothly. Lol I enjoyed the siennatini. Yummy
Lastly I had dessert. On the recommendation of the waiter we got the doughnut holes that came with 3 dipping sauces. I was thinking doughnut holes but they were so fluffy and tender. Great recommendation especially if you are going to share.
How cute is that. Wish I would have taken more pics.
The spot itself is beautiful–both indoors and outdoors are super cute and classy. Aesthetically, they’ve nailed it. Everything from the decor to the food presentation was really well done.
We ordered four dishes, and the mini beignets were the clear standout–warm, fluffy, and just the right amount of sweet. The Prime Rib Benedict came with really tasty potatoes, but the prime rib itself was pretty plain and lacked flavor. The Filet Mignon Pasta was unfortunately even more bland, and the mushrooms tasted burnt which really threw it off.
For dessert, I had my first-ever crème brûlée and I actually loved it–creamy, smooth, and now I get the hype. I also tried bottomless mimosas for the first time, and… turns out I’m not a mimosa girl. Definitely more of a cocktail type.
Service was on the slower side, but it was busy so it’s understandable. Prices were slightly high considering the food didn’t fully deliver on flavor, but everything looked great.
Overall, not a terrible experience, just not quite worth the 40-minute drive for me. If you’re going for the vibe and a cute spot to hang, it’s solid–but if you’re looking to be wowed by the food, it might fall short.
⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐
Had dinner at Sienna Restaurant in El Dorado Hills last Friday night with three friends. Party of four ordered two Grilled Ribeyes, a Grilled Filet Mignon, and the Sparkling Salmon – all excellent.
The ribeyes were cooked right, good quality beef. Filet was tender with a solid porcini cream sauce. The salmon with the honey-nut crust was very good – different preparation than the usual. Sides were well done – the loaded smashed potatoes, green beans, and asparagus all came out properly cooked.
Service was good throughout – professional, timely, knew the menu. The place has a nice atmosphere – upscale without being stuffy. Good choice for a special occasion or just a solid dinner out.
If you’re looking for a good steakhouse in El Dorado Hills, Sienna delivers. Would recommend.
Dishes ordered – Brie peach appetizer, beef short ribs, filet mignon stroganoff and berry cheesecake. It was all delicious but my dinner companion didn’t care for the filet mignon pasta.(had a few bites and agree).
We’ll definitely return! Wait staff was phenomenal too.
On top of that, the food came out wrong and took way too long. By the time it finally arrived, it wasn’t even what I ordered. For a restaurant that’s supposed to be nicer, the service and timing were really not it. Definitely not an experience I’d want to repeat.
