Sid does a fantastic job here. Right now he’s in a stand alone location but coming soon he’s back in the truck. Go well out of your way to find him. So much care is taken into what Sid puts in front of you. This is a must stop if you want some real BBQ and much more.

That food was INSANELY good. The pork belly was melt in your mouth delicious, and they didn’t coat it in sauce they just let the pork speak for itself. The mac and cheese was a delight, definitely made from scratch and wonderfully cheesy. The coleslaw had some kind of cheese it in, which shocked me but elevated it to a whole new level that I did not expect. And then the atmosphere is awesome, it appears to have been some little private club at some time and it looks so elegant. I felt like I should be studying for an Ivy League or something. The staff was great, so friendly and prompt service.

Sid’s Gourmet is amazing! The food is top-tier, and the flavors are on point every time. My absolute favorite is the pork belly mac — it’s rich, perfectly seasoned, and totally addictive. Definitely a must-try spot!

Let me just say my friend and I was hesitant to come here because there wasn’t anyone here, but I am so glad we did.. oh my goodness. I got the brisket sandwhich and the chicken mafe ( I think thats how u spell it) my friend got the brisket mac n cheese and the brisket mafe and oh my lord it was Absolutely delicious. The staff was super nice and friendly. We will definitely be coming back next time we are in town. We literally just left the place and had to write a review. Mac n cheese was different noodles then what im use to but it was so good.. people are missing out on this hidden gem.

I ordered brisket, slaw and beans. White beans were made for flavor! Dice sized chunks of meat floated around a medley of veg and bean in a tomato sauce. The slaw was modern and light. The veg was dressed with a white sauce and a green sauce….complimenting the meat perfectly. The chefs were trying out a gluten-free bread that was rustic with a decent crust. The owners were so sweet and thoughtful ta-boot. A must stop in Medford.

Update, 3 years later:
Sid’s is in a building! There is a parking lot in the back and street parking in the front. I was a little lost, but I followed the signs and trusted my nose up the stairs….once inside I found the menus and counter near the kitchen. While I waited I checked out all the wonderful indoor plants. Six orchids and many others! The tables have games like domino and farkle for friends and family to play. The vibes leans upscale, but with a homie heart.

My first time in the new location. Really happy to see Sid’s make it to a brick & mortar restaurant.

I had the chicken cheesesteak & it was absolutely beyond delicious!! Full of flavor, great bread, really, really good smoked chicken. A+ stuff

A co-worker recommended Sid’s so I have it a try for lunch today. I decided on the Japanese fried rice w/brisket.
The brisket was good but honestly the star of the show was the fried rice. It was fresh, flavorful & a very hearty portion!
My co-worker had the Philly cheese steak which I am a HUGE fan of (RIP to the Cheese Steak King truck)

Next week I’ll try one of the cheese steaks & will be sure to post!

The food was not good. The brisket was dry and the Mac and cheese was old tasting. The sauce was like paste and it didn’t taste like anything. It sat much to long to be served. I wanted this to be good and am truly disappointed.
Also, our order didn’t have the chicken we ordered.

As always, there a warm welcoming feel. The new location on 6th doesn’t have the aesthetic you would expect from a BBQ place. That’s a good and a bad thing. Not to worry though, they are updating as they go and have the changes planned for later this year. The food is always amazing and fairly priced. It’s fresh, flavorful and looks great.

Don’t be confused when you enter, just go straight to the back and there is a small opening to the kitchen area for you to order.

You can’t go wrong here!

I can’t say enough good things about Sid’s Gourmet Smoke N’ Grill. From the moment you walk in, you’re hit with that perfect smoky aroma that tells you you’re in for something special. The atmosphere is laid-back, friendly, and exactly what you want from a spot that takes pride in slow-smoked, soul-warming food.

The barbecue here is next-level. The brisket is ridiculously tender — the kind of “barely needs a knife” tender — with a bark that tastes like it took a whole lot of patience and passion to perfect. The ribs fall off the bone but still have that perfect bite, and the pulled pork is juicy without being greasy. And don’t even get me started on the sauces… smoky, tangy, sweet, spicy — every single one hits.

The sides are just as impressive. Their mac and cheese is dangerously addictive, the coleslaw is crisp and refreshing, and the baked beans are so good they could be a meal all by themselves. Everything tastes like it was made by someone who cares about the little details.

On top of all that, the service is outstanding. The staff make you feel like you’ve been coming there for years, even if it’s your first visit. They’re quick, kind, and genuinely excited for you to try their food — and honestly, they should be, because they have every right to be proud of it.

If you love barbecue, or even if you think you love barbecue, you owe it to yourself to check out Sid’s. It’s the kind of place that turns a simple meal into a whole experience.

Highly, highly recommended.
