First time trying this place, the staff were friendly and atmosphere nice. The drinks were lacking in flavor and the food were so-so, the service is very slow with a long wait in line and they got my order wrong and totally forgot about it too, oveall food was not worth the wait of 1 hour total disappointing, darn! Really wanted to like this place for breakfast, sadly no photos for the menu. The spot is in a nice cute town of Monrovia. The food was so pricey when it was okay, 2 drinks and meals was $45, it didn’t match the taste unfortunately. Free Street parking in this area.

Cute little coffee shop on Myrtle Avenue. I visited twice last week. I tried their avocado toast, tuna melt and cappuccino. Avocado was creamy with crunchy radishes on top. Rosemary bread was crispy for my tuna melt and the tuna was not drowned in mayo. Excellent smooth cappuccino as well. I went on weekdays for lunch so service was quick. I’ll return for more.

This avocado toast has stronger taste than others I had tried. Toast is actually a little salty. Pickled radish is strong (which is a good thing for me) and it has lots of cherry tomatoes. Avocado is flavorful! It’s delicious!!! Taste better than yesterday’s pretty but light avocado toast.

Downtown Monrovia has a good mix of stores and restaurants. Grey & Cash is one of its assets! My friend is vegan and I am vegetarian so we are so glad to have found this place. I like their veggie sandwich and my friend enjoyed their jalapeno bagel with vegan cream cheese. Their lavender coffee is really good too! We will be coming here more often!

The cappuccino was great but the huevos ranchero dish that I ordered had a lot of flaw in them. The vegetable was not grilled and didn’t rest so I end up with a lot of water on my plate that mixed with the egg. There is also a lack of seasoning, and the use of dry herbs instead of fresh herbs in the dish. It was served with a flour tortilla, I wish that it was corn and fried so you can get some crunch texture out of the dish. a slice a lime will also add some acidity which is lacking as well. I really like the environment and the service but I would only order the coffee here.

Grey and Cash is our favorite breakfast and lunch spot in Monrovia. We had moved to Monrovia in the summer and were looking for a place to get coffee/tea and to study, found this place and come back once a week. My fiancé loves their cold brew and Cortado. The staff is super friendly and kind and the food is great ! I love their Lavender Espresso and Bhakti Chai. We were a little nervous about trying their chilaquiles as we had not had any at restaurant that compares to the ones I make at home. Their red and green are both delicious and give me reprieve from making them for my fiancé every Saturday. The staff is always very friendly and the environment is mellow and perfect for studying. We’ve tried about a dozen things on their menu and have never left upset. There have been times in which try a different restaurant in old town, but have waited over 45 minutes and were never seated, so we just walk over to Grey and Cash and are never disappointed.

Grey & Cash is a cafe restaurant that offers good breakfast/brunch and lunch. It’s located on Myrtle and Lemon avenues at Monrovia. Interior atmosphere was welcoming and relaxing. Interior design was simple yet well conceived; wall murals, hanging bikes, and huge CA state flag. Indoor dining was very spacious, neat, orgnized and well lit. Similarly, their front patio was neat as well. They have a good selection of coffee and expresso, breakfast sandwiches, burritos and sides. You need to order by the counter before taking a table/seat. I came here on Saturday morning and ordered French Toasts (with whip cream, banana and syrup) and regular drip coffee that cost $10 bucks and $3 respectively. French toasts were soft, fluffy and crunchy on the side. Sliced banana topping was fresh and soft. Syrup has thick viscosity and sweet. Coffee was brewed perfectly. Condiments and water refill were self-service. WiFi is available. Service was mildly slow due to peak hours. Staff were attentive, competent and professional. Wait time to getting my food was ~15 mins. Prices were fair and competitive. Plenty of parking available. Overall I had a wonderdul breakfast meal and dining experience. I will definitely come back and recommend Grey & Cash if you’re in the area.

Super hipster feel from the employees to the minimal decor with the bicycles hanging on the walls and the mugs and metal plates that conjure up images of homeless eating ware. Stuff is priced at hipster level as well, meaning a little on the expensive side.

The last great bastion of the dying hipsters of SGV. Wow! The bicycle on the wall, the obnoxiously large CA Republic flag, the way-too-chill baristas who both could be 20 or 40 years old. Soak in this cafe with a decent cup of $6 coffee. The service was good. Food was alright. Stick with bagels and sandwiches though, otherwise it gets a little sloppy and runny.
