We have been here for finger foods and cocktails several times and have always had an enjoyable experience. The food is better than many bars in the area, but there aren’t a lot of vegetarian items. However the cocktails are the star of the show! Each cocktail I have had here is elevated and all of the ingredients are carefully crafted. The Honest Mistake, 1929 Martini, and the Crown Jewel are some of our favorite recommendations.

We stopped in here while Visiting Family in Roanoke. It was quite busy for A Wednesday night and only available seating was at the Bar. So Glad we decided to stay! Our Bartender Rainy was Amazing She recommended all the best cocktails and was very attentive. The Cafe Sidecar( expresso martini) was phenomenal. We tried a few small plates and the Belgian Frites. The Oyster sampler is a must try! The Steak Frites was so tender and delicious. Top notch service and Amazing eats! Definitely will be back next time we are in town

Amazing find. Loved everything about it. Quaint with quality and relaxed luxury. Great whiskey list and a very nice wine selection. Food didn’t miss on anything and the portions were hefty. Definitely worth the money. We also had Rainey as our server and she was such a breath of fresh air. Polite, proper, and professional with a touch of fun and flair. Was looking for a casual dining experience with a touch of class and boy did we find it. Great work cooks, chefs, servers, host, and bartender. I will definitely be back. 10 stars out of 5.

We went here for wedding anniversary dinner tonight. It was absolutely smashing. The service impeccable, I wish I could remember our servers name, she made my husband and I feel so welcome and taken care of. The charcuterie, all sections, delicious. Pintxo Gilda were perfect, eggs mimosa are to die for. My Pub Burger with foie gras was so delicious I wanted more, the frites fried in duck fat are like a drug, you can’t get enough. My husbands Steak Frites perfect, amazing flavor. To top it off the sticky toffee pudding, some of the best we’ve ever had. Your mock tails are so delicious and appreciated. Thank you Sidecar, you made new transplants to Roanoke, happy on our anniversary. We will be back.

Fell in love with the vibe and ambiance of this family owned local Roanoke favorite. The lighting, decor, the music, the old movies in the background made the experience. It’s also next to Martins bar which had live music shows with the best drink deals. I was in Roanoke on a contract and easily found myself here having dinner before catching a live show. It makes you want to try everything on the menu. My favorite drink was the Self Care and Eagle Rare Manhattan. The service and staff was exceptional as well as diverse, inclusive, and safe. Will definitely come back every time I visit Roanoke.

I have been going to Martins for years and yet I never knew that Sidecar existed right next door! Duh.. Not sure how I missed this place all this time. I always thought Roanoke did not have any French restaurants, and this place is French/European so it’s great! The service right from the moment we walked in the door and until we left was phenomenal! They staff cleared our table after each course and our drinks were always filled. All the food was amazing and took me back to my time in Europe and Paris!! Oh how I missed cuisine like this. We had a charcuterie bored that was out of this world with 6 different kinds of cheeses and wonderful meats and olives. Also had a dozen oysters on the half shell and delicious roasted brussel sprouts. The main plates were everything our party could have ask for! Everything came out beautifully presented and hot like we were sitting in the kitchen. Sea bass was to die for, and the pork chop with grilled Foie gras was on point! Can’t wait to go back for drinks and to try more things on the menu! Everything ran smooth and service and staff were excellent!! Best service I have had in awhile in a restaurant!!! Keep up the great work Sidecar! Amazing place and amazing staff!

My husband and I decided to eat here based on the fantastic reviews and we were not disappointed. The food was delicious and on point and the service was impeccable. We sat in a table near the bar which was a little noisy so next time I would choose the dining room in the quieter section, but other than that it was a wonderful experience.
