Food is ok. Pretty good sichuan food but idk my love to sichuan food has decreased. They don’t have many tables so usually need to wait. But you can reserve a seat / preorder the food if party size is larger (or equal to) 6. We agreed on seating outside so the waiting time is not long. 40$ per person counting tips in.

Finally, there’s a good Sichuan restaurant understands that the authentic Sichuan food is not about flaming hot. It’s actually about its numbing feelings and aromatic flavors of different chilies. Well, I give 4 stars because the wait was too long and I almost left. I will pay a visit when you have plenty of time to spend there and if you don’t mind waiting for good food

The long wait to get in was well worth it. Waited over an hour for a table. All tables were full when we arrived, while we were there, and still full with a line waiting after we left. The food was very big portions for 2 of us. Still a lot left over to take home after. Food was the perfect level of spicy for me. I like it hot but not burn your lips off hot. Service was on top of everything, even with the place being so busy. Will definitly visit again when in town.b

A quite small restaurant, but there’s sufficient parking available in the plaza. It appears that there are only two servers working, yet they handle the busy atmosphere effectively; we waited about half an hour for a table. The food is authentic, making the wait reasonable. After my meal, I noticed I didn’t feel thirsty, which suggests that there might not be any MSG used. Highly recommended!

The flavors are quite authentic, and the portion sizes are just right. The taste is robust but not overly spicy. The frog meat is average, and the ox tongue has too much cornstarch. The kidney dish tastes great. The service is friendly and efficient. It’s pretty good for Los Angeles.

I have to say the taste was really good, truly the authentic flavor of Sichuan. However, they don’t accept reservations or phone bookings, and you have to go to the restaurant to get a spot, which is a bit inconvenient. We ordered three dishes, and each portion was quite large and very spicy. The service and taste were both good. The only downside was the wait for a table—we waited for 40 minutes.

Amazing authentic sichuan food! We got the stir fried intestines, spicy frog legs and spicy eggplant. I would definitely get the spicy frog legs again, the intestines were good but a bit oily.
The food portions are ENORMOUS, like the photo does not do justice how large the items were. Those three items pretty much took up the entire table space.
I usually go in, put my name and phone number down and walk through the nearby supermarket. By the time I’m done, i walk back to the restaurant and they have a time available, before they even call me to let me know.

(I think the correct spelling of this restaurant should be “Sichuan Spicy Bay”, but Yelp has it as “Szechuan Spicy Bay”.) I was here with other lovers of spicy food, and we all enjoyed it very much. There is free parking in this lot. They share it with other businesses like the Fresh Farm Outlet.
I was here on a weekday dinner around 5:30 PM, and the place was filling up quickly. They mostly have tables for up to four people, so our party of five had to wait until everyone arrived to be seated. There is only one big round table that can seat parties of 6-10. By the time we were done eating, there was a waitlist! Apparently this restaurant is highly rated on “xiao hong shu”, also known as Little Red Book or RED, which is like China’s version of Instagram.
For five people, we ordered:
-4 individual rice bowls ($1.50 each)
-baked fish with mala style $39.99. (You can choose other styles, like pickled pepper, rattan pepper, ginger, garlic, etc.) This was served in a huge dish that took over 50% of the table. The fish itself wasn’t that big and was placed over a bed of bean sprouts. The fish was hard to eat because the meat would crumble like feta cheese. There were lotus root slices and cucumber pieces scattered here and there. Even more scarce were black fungus pieces. It was flavorful. Next time we want to try the frog, which seemed to be more popular.
-mala dry pot with fatty intestines $21.99. The intestines are fried and crunchy on the outside. It came with a lot of veggies.
-house special stir fry cabbage $13.99. We ordered this thinking we needed a veggie dish, but everything else had too many veggies. This dish itself was good – albeit on the sweet side – but we probably didn’t need it.
-cumin spicy lamb $21.99. This dish came out last. We were almost done with everything else. It was 50% coriander and leek, which were so vibrantly green. The lamb had good flavor though.
I would come back to get the frog!!

Hands down, the best Sichuan restaurant in SoCal! After trying many, this gem stands out for its reasonable prices, perfectly balanced spice and flavor, generous portions, and overall excellence. Whenever I’m around, I’m always craving their duck – it’s simply the best. Fair warning, if you can’t handle spicy, it might be a bit much, but for spice enthusiasts, it’s an absolute must-try and easily my top favorite!

Chengdu spicy boiled roast duck in a super-sized basin, with roasted duck, luncheon meat, duck blood, cow throat, beef tripe, thousand-layer tofu, wide noodles, cauliflower, seaweed knots, bean sprouts, wood ear fungus, and cucumber. Really love the crispy texture of the fish stomach – it’s not fishy at all, especially satisfying with rice. The stir-fried cabbage is cooked to perfection. We will definitely come back for more!!
