Great place, fast accommodating service. The coffee is outstanding and the food is cooked with love. I thoroughly enjoyed my quick 30 min visit while passing through Lewistown. I would most definitely return if ever in town again.

Even though I only had about 30 minutes to stop by while passing through Lewistown, the team made me feel right at home. The coffee was absolutely exceptional — rich, smooth, and full of flavor. You can truly taste the care and passion in every cup. ❤️
The food was just as impressive, clearly prepared with love and attention to detail. Everything felt fresh, comforting, and thoughtfully made. Even in such a short visit, I left feeling satisfied and happy that I chose to stop in. If I ever find myself back in Lewistown, I will definitely be returning without a second thought!

Food was okay. But, my husband and I may have visited the place at a very understaffed day. That shouldn’t excuse the poor service we both received though. We had to awkwardly stand by the entrance door for a good few moments when a staff literally made eye contact with us at least three times. Even a mere and basic greeting would’ve been very much appreciated.

Excellent breakfast! Maybe the best in Montana. It gets busy. The waitresses were a bit frazzled. It wasn’t a big thing but it does detract a little from the entire experience. They did a great job with the orders and food and coffee but could work on the interpersonal skills.

We know the owners and went to the 406 Cafe in Lewistown, MT. This cafe is updated, organized and super clean. We love going to these downtown Mom & Pop shops because you get better food at a reasonable price! Their food is all fresh with great tasting home made recipes. I had outstanding biscuits and sausage gravy made from scratch. My wife is a french toast aficionado and had the best french toast she’s ever tasted. Great place, awesome home cooked food, super clean and inviting. And the fresh made cinnamon rolls are the best! Thanks Chris and Letta!

My friend and I stopped in after Mass to have breakfast. We went to the counter to check because it was very busy. We were told to wait by the entrance and we would have the next available table. We watched a family of 5 come in and they did the same thing. We watched as a table became available with three chairs. We started to go to the table and were told that we couldn’t sit there because it was for the family of 5. The patriarch of the family was upset because he knew we were there before him. The two waitresses argued about who should be seated first. The waitress that told us to wait made sure we got the table. The table behind us opened up and the one who told us we couldn’t sit there put them there but loudly proclaimed that the young boy would have to sit at the end because someone sitting at the end would interfere with the traffic flow of the restaurant. Apparently it was ok that the prior table occupants had an adult sitting at the end. I didn’t catch what happened but while we were close to walking out due to the way we were treated by the older waitress, the family had enough and walked out without ordering. We watched two other groups of people walk out. The older waitress made sparky comments about other customers. Our waitress was very kind and attentive.
The food was amazing. If I had to do it again. I would’ve ordered take out and take it home to avoid the drama.

Came back to 406… finally had their breakfast… OMGOSH…. they weren’t kidding when they said it’s one of the best! It was amazing! My son told me to have the Biscuits and Gravey, very hesitant at first cause I never had them… I was in heaven, Biscuits were crunchy through the whole meal, gravey was thick with just enough sausage… WOW! Coffee was excellent! Staff was friendly, attentive just so around a awesome place to be.
406 is the only place we stopped to eat in Lewistown and I’m so glad we did. Its a little corner spot my son told me about, he went to eat there with his boss. We’re from WA state so it was so nice to feel welcomed when we walked inside. The server, I wish I got her name, went above and beyond with us, she was very friendly got us laughing a couple of times. If they had 10 stars I would totally give it just on her attitude. The food was incredible! The fries are to die for, tasted my husband’s.. tater tots were perfect, crunchy and just enough seasoning. Prices were worth everything we got, big portions. Next time we go visit we’re definitely going to stop there for breakfast and lunch. Unfortunately we didn’t get breakfast there, but from what everyone says, it’s worth it.

Food was ok, but nothing to write home about. Staff seemed a strange combination of bored and cranky. Poor service in general. Waitress barely acknowledged us the entire stay.

Stunning delicious food to start your day with breakfast that is served by wonderful staff who makes you feel at home in a friends kitchen. The pancakes, bacon and chocolate milk that I ate kept me full most of the day same with my daughter and the French toast with sides she had! I would definitely recommend this restaurant to anyone who will be in Lewistown for any reason and I can’t wait to go back to try the lunch food.
