We went for Sunday dinner, food was excellent and so was the service. We all had a great meal and will be going back. Best Chinese food in SW Michigan!!!
Excellent food & great service. Very very nice lunch buffet and evening dinner helpings are plentiful and delicious! Best Chinese food in Kalamazoo. A friendly, efficient, courteous, and wonderful staff makes it a great experience too, a must try restaurant if you like Chinese food!!!!!!

We have been to this place for years and this is the most authentic Chinese restaurant in town! Their lunch special is a true steal! You can try a lot of different dishes/soups/snacks for only a few bucks. I tried their L12 Home style beef tendon(one of our favorites), triple slices fish filet and L07 Sichuan Poached beef today! All tasted good! The waitress checked on us frequently and was kind. It wasn’t too expensive and the portion sizes were reasonable. And our other favorite menus are H02 Squirrel shaped fish w. Sweet and sour sauce, P04 pork w. Bamboo shoot, SS8 west lake beef soup. Sometimes we order thro DoorDash but always tastes better when we dine in 🙂

Everything was amazing! Mala chicken great flavor, tender, with lots of chilis.
Sliced pork in garlic sauce was super tender and delicious,
Dumplings and wontons with amazing sauces and flavors, although I was wishing the dumplings had more filling, the sauce flavor more than made up for it.
Dan Dan noodles were tender and flavorful and I couldn’t stop eating them!
And the Beef noodle soup Szechuan style was actually the only full meal we ordered with all of our apps. And we picked right, the mala numby flavor was amazing, with a great Smoky taste!
I would order every single thing again,,, and again! Thank you, we’ll be back!

Great and authentic Chinese place. Went there for the first time and I really loved the food. The service was very friendly and extremely fast. We ordered Dan Dan noodles, spicy dumplings, and Sichuan style fried chicken (don’t remember the name). Everything was amazing. The only let down was that the fortune cookie that came with the bill was soggy.

The Kalamazoo area is very fortunate to have a place like this. The usual Chinese fare you find at the other places can be so boring. It’s really refreshing to find some authentic Chinese food. Fresh ingredients and some skilled chefs make for an excellent dining experience.

Delicious, authentic Sichuan cuisine. This is the 2nd best Sichuan food I’ve been able to find in the US after living in Sichuan for 3 months (the best was in Chicago). I’d recommend the mapo tofu (麻婆豆腐) and the twice cooked pork (回锅肉), but you really can’t go wrong.

Autenthic Szhecuan dishes. I was in love with Dan Dan Noodles. The Squirrel-Shaped Fish is handsdown!! Other cold dishes like Spicy Beef Tendon and Beef and Honeycom Tripes are also good. I’m impressed of the outstanding service provided here. The server, young Chinese man, was really knowledgeable about the menu, very polite, patience and helpful. Will definitely come back to Chuancai Fang restaurant again in the future to try other dishes. It’s worth the drive since we live in Holland.
