I didn’t get our waitress’s name but she was attentive, friendly, and timely.
We ordered crab rangoons for our appetizer. Crispy skin, a beautiful golden brown, and freshly made, these were appetizers to be proud of. The filling was hot and savory, cream cheese mixed with real crab. Not imitation crab, the real deal. And that sweet and spicy chili sauce added amazing flavor. The only downside was that I found the sauce to be kind of thin.
I had purchased the Pad Kee Mao with chicken. The portions were an impressive size and the taste did not disappoint. Even after stir frying, the vegetables still had a good amount of crunch and texture, nothing limp or squishy. The chicken was a bit dry but still flavorful and worked well with the dish overall. Though I did find it a little salty, the tea and water provided helped a lot.
As a heads up, I requested a more mild version of my dish. The Pad Kee Mao is normally very spicy so if you aren’t used to spicy foods, just make a request to your server to reduce the spice level.
It has been years since I went here but I’m glad to see the quality was as good as I remembered.
The whole group had different things all liked!
In-restaurant = large portions plated much more accurately.
Carry-out = pitiful portion and even more pitiful taste.
Either way = wet dog is the overall taste for noodle and rice dishes. Curry and rangoons are the only safe dishes I’ve found since they’ve opened.
Fyi: the “seafood combo” includes tiny full squid, shrimp with poop shoot intact, and undercooked tiny scallops. (Multiple experiences with this, yuck)
