The service was excellent and the restaurant was clean with fun, unique and interesting decor. Unfortunately, the food sorely missed the mark. The angel wings were a strange and unappealing texture. The green curry wasn’t green and didn’t have any curry in it. It was more like a bland clear broth. We requested medium spice on our dishes. They all came bland and we had to request some chili spice to give the dishes some kind of taste. At least the veggies were fresh, but all 5 of the dishes we ordered weren’t seasoned well.

The decor when you walk in is so perfect: lived in and authentic! The take away service was very convenient, but oh the food!! The Pad See Yeu had so many fresh vegetables and good amount of chicken. Wonderful taste and definitely a new favorite!

I ordered the Pad Thai and a Thai milk tea. The milk tea was twice too sweet and overwhelmed the tea (and I have a sweet tooth and can handle pretty sweet drinks usually). The pad Thai was unfortunately lacking in flavor and barely had any sauce, and was a bit sour. Unfortunately this place was not my cup of tea. Maybe some of their other dishes are better. The amount of food was enough for more than one meal (although I do not eat too much at once anyway), and I felt like it is relatively affordable.

Also for those who want itemized receipts, this establishment cannot do that, so if you’re trying to find a place during a work trip, I recommend looking elsewhere if you need itemized receipts for reimbursement.

My absolute favorite restaurant in Monterey. Authentic Thai food with exceptional service. I’ve been here at numerous times in my 18months living in Monterey and can’t speak more highly about it. I brought my friends and family in and we all still talk about it almost a year after I left, which is why I’m just now writing a review.
Drunken noodles, coconut curry noodles, and eggplant Thai basil are my favorite dishes and my sister still raves about their Tom yum soup! Thai ice tea is a must get even though it’s on the sweeter end, it complements the dishes.
Parking is street parking and the wait for food is about less than 15mins.

I’ve been coming here for take out for a little while. My family loves this place. We finally came in to dine. The food looks as good as it’s presented. My 7 year old daughter wouldn’t stop raving over the Thai fried rice and stuffed herself! Mu husband loves the spicy green curry. I love how fresh the vegetables are prepared in all the dishes. Definitely coming back since our little one insists we come here weekly, at least….

Saturday night. I called them an hour before to make a reservation for “tonight”. They told me no reservations, first come, first serve. Arrived and the door is locked although there are people inside. Sign says it is open and closed at the same time. Ignored us when they saw us at the door.

I visited Siamese Bay Restaurant and ordered Pad Thai Noodles with scallops along with Thai Tea.

Unfortunately, the Pad Thai was very sour, and the vegetables were wilted and not fresh, even showing signs of spoilage. The scallops didn’t taste fresh either, which made the dish even more disappointing. I couldn’t eat it at all.

The Thai Tea was delicious but a bit too sweet for my taste.

The service, however, was excellent, and the staff’s humor was the only highlight of my visit.

I’m actually glad I came alone and not with my family, as I could only drink the tea and leave the food almost untouched.

I chose this restaurant based on reviews, so I’m leaving mine in return. If you’re visiting for the first time with family, I strongly suggest ordering just one dish first—if it meets your expectations, continue ordering; if not, you’ll save your money by trying another place.

Went with a group of 3. We ordered Thai fried rice, drunken noodle, panang curry, and Thai iced teas. All of the food was incredible, and especially the pad Thai. It was the best pad Thai we have had. We are visiting here from the Midwest, and it blows all Thai places back home out of the water!

The food is amazing! It’s like a little slice of Thailand in the restaurant. I come here for lunch after my morning classes and the food never fails to disappoint. It’s always super quiet and comfortable and the service is very personable. I say this as a local.

Authentic Thai food in a cute space that ports you away from Monterey for a moment. We like coming here to mix things up from the usual American fare. Surprisingly, I liked the broccoli chicken the best, but there’s a huge menu to select from.
