I also tried the tofu summer rolls with the peanut sauce. That was the best thing ever. I asked them for some extra peanut sauce and god damn it was so good.
The staff was great and the service was great. I would love to come here again if I’m ever in the Napa area.
It’s my go-to spot in Napa for amazing Thai food. The flavors are incredible and really stand out from other Thai places.
Today, I had a delicious curry, and the papaya salad, so Fresh and unique.
Plus , the service is always top-notch.
Even when they ‘re super busy, they always make sure give their best!!!
Thanks Siam Thai House !!!
Even after paying, we were told we couldn’t remove our mango sticky rice order because it was already prepared. Yet, we still had to wait another 10 minutes for it to come out (at this point we just stood outside). For a $75 lunch for two, with a half-full restaurant after 1pm on a Sunday, this was a pretty annoying experience. We had places to be, and the stress kept piling up as we watched others eat in front of us, and waited for mediocreness to be delivered.
I understand this is a family-run place, and our server Patrick was kind and apologetic. But kindness doesn’t excuse serious lapses in communication, food quality, and basic service flow. Get your house in order before charging premium prices. Maybe this place has seen better days, but at least just say something like “hey it’s going to take us one full hour to serve you, is that okay?” or just left us remove the desert we ordered the wasn’t ready anyway. We would have much rather spent our money and time elsewhere.
But thanks Patrick for your sympathy, I guess? (3/5?). Idk what to think other than that I wouldn’t recommend this place if you *know* Thai food, like warm food, are particular about rice, value quick service (or the order which food comes out), or want a quick sit-down experience. It sucks waiting super long for a place that seams like they would serve stuff up quickly.
Edited reply: If you notice the above, I’m not commenting on the fact that my friends and I did not receive rice, but rather on the logic of this policy as a whole.
As for the price, it’s a bit too high for what you are getting. The rice is charged separately and they do not even give that much. A 2 person meal cost over $40. This should have cost under $30.
The restaurant is stuffy and hot. They have a couple of floor fans blowing at some larger tables, but they don’t have enough for the entire restaurant. Seems like the AC doesn’t exist or doesn’t work.
