I ordered crab fried rice. And for almost $30 it was almost no crab. Shells throughout the entire small bowl. And just not worth it. For the cost, I at least expected some lump crab meat throughout the dish and enough for a serving and a half. Nope just one serving and a sprinkle of crab meat for a snow crab leg. Not even good quality crab meat. Too over priced. Have had way better else where. 1st and last time.

The dishes are beautifully presented and sure to whet your appetite. Each bite is packed with rich, authentic Thai flavors. The restaurant has a charming, cozy atmosphere something to keep in mind for guests with mobility concerns when making a reservation. Service is excellent and attentive. Reasonably priced.

First time dining at Siam Thai Cuisine and I thoroughly enjoyed the food, service, and atmosphere. Came for Father’s Day lunch and there were not too many people (although more flooded in as I finished and was leaving).

Thoughts on the cuisine:
I ordered the Panang Chicken Curry Lunch Special ($16) and it came with a side of white rice and another side (of your own choosing), two veggie spring rolls. I also received ice water. The two veggie spring rolls came with a side of sweet and sour sauce, which paired very nicely with the spring rolls (nothing too special, just plain good stuff!). The Panang Chicken Curry was sweet but also had hints of spice throughout, elevating the dish to another level. I really liked the flavor of the curry so much that I ate most of it with the rice forgetting to eat the chicken and broccoli. But the chicken also had that sweet and flavorful taste— it was great!

Mango sticky rice was not the best that I tried but was ok. The mango taste was a bit off and not as sweet as I thought it would be— same applies to the rice.. but overall ok.

Ambience and environment:
There was jazz music playing in the background at the perfect level, not too loud at all. The interior design as well as the music made it for a great wait for the food.

Since there weren’t many people there, the service was super quick! Again, the jazz music was a really nice touch and made the time seem more enjoyable. The server was super patient and nice, taking our orders and checking in on us. Multiple servers helped to serve the food to us (looked so good!). The presentation of the food down to the dish-ware was spot on and elegant!

Would definitely recommend to Thai food lovers, foodies, vegetarians, and the like!!

Would absolutely return again to try more!

What I don’t like is that 18% service charge is automatically added to the bill (we were a party of 3). I did not ask to take it off the bill because 1) I usually pay 20%+ after the pandemic; 2) the food was good; 3) I will not go back to any restaurant automatically charges service fee so why bother arguing. The drunken noodle was the best I had for years. All others are pretty good except that the crispy rice salad is very salty and that the mango sticky rice portion size is small.

Best Thai food I’ve had! 5 stars. We had one weird experience described below but have had nothing but 4.5-5 star experiences since. I think that is likely due to the boss lady in her signature red lipstick. She is always put together, incredibly kind, efficient, and ensures great service and food quality. When she’s around, the food and service are 4.5-5 stars!!!

I am pretty particular when it comes to flavor palettes and noticing when things get Americanized — and Thai places in particular fall victim to this in my experience. I believe this place to be pretty darn authentic! I love that things aren’t too sweet and substitutions don’t degrade the layered flavors.

The red curry, massaman curry, chuchee curry, tom yum, and drunken noodle are all fantastic. Even the salad with peanut sauce is yummy. My personal favorite is tom yum and drunken noodle.

They seem to use real Thai basil (which adds that special, classic flavor to all applicable dishes), oyster sauce, fish sauce/oil, dark soy sauce, thai chilis, lemongrass, land so on. I could be wrong, but I think they even put anise in the massaman curry. Whatever it is — delicious!

The Tom Yum is the best I’ve had, but all the recipes/flavors vary each time we go which is unfortunate (thereby varying the deliciousness). I love that the tomatoes in the tom yum are small and perfectly sized for a bite. I love that curries and other dishes that come with rice have a perfectly proportionate balance of sauce to rice (so the rice absorbs the sauce perfectly, with no flavorless dry rice left over, nor soggy over-drenched rice dominated in a pool of sauce). The attention to detail like that is appreciated! Lately the tofu size has been better but used to be too big, especially when ordered soft rather than fried. We don’t get less food either when ordering take-out vs. dining in! (Except when you order a thai tea takeout it will be smaller than dining in, it appears. But, being sane, we obviously haven’t measured it.) Sometimes restaurants will jip ya, but it seems pretty even here. 🙂

But, one visit was not the best. Without our usual waitress or boss lady, our food quality and service plummeted. We got our own silverware, asked for water refills, got served cold food after waiting a long time (that was then microwaved — ensuring the tofu reached a babyfood-like consistency while simultaneously being cold in the middle and hot on the outside), and even forgot a drink of ours. It was not spicy as the menu stated, and was too sweet. Mind you, this would be more understandable if it was busy. But there were only three tables in use. Luckily she’s basically always steering the ship!

We have become something of regulars, so we recognize all the workers and usually deeply savor and enjoy the food. This was a steep departure from the standard flavor variations we have experienced until now.

I hope to see all waiters and cooks equally trained so the hostess and waitress we normally see can expect standards not to fall without them.

Edit: Most recently, the holiday decorations were so gorgeous and festive. The atmosphere was heavenly and so cozy. Perfect for a delicious and cute family dinner or work lunch! We also haven’t had any trouble with service since that day.

Edit: A 18% gratuity is automatic, but we wanted to tip extra on New Years. She reminded us that there’s a tip included, kindly making sure we didn’t forget! Such a sweet lady and hard worker. Support this restaurant!

My favorite restaurant. I can’t recommend this place enough!

We’ve tried a lot of pad kee mao — and this was the best we’ve ever had. The chuchee, green, panang, and red curries are all phenomenal, too. I even liked their tom yum soup, which is very rare for me. The mango sticky rice is pretty small for the price, so I recommend the fried banana with coconut ice cream. 🙂

We went today for the first time since this Thai restaurant changed its name (under new management). Highlights:
– The crispy basil duck was delicious.
– Kids meals are $8!
– Kids meals are served very quickly, using toodler-type plates and utensils (see picture)
– My preschooler loved the chicken satay and the peanut sauce (and the broccoli from my dish)
– The waitress was friendly and attentive
Overall, we had a great experience. We will come back for sure. This is a great place for little kids!
