During our first trip to San Diego in early November, my family and I had the pleasure of dining at this wonderful restaurant. The food was absolutely delicious, with vibrant flavors and FRESH ingredients. The atmosphere was very relaxing and welcoming. When our family reflects back on our trip to SAN and all the places we visited, our four children highlight this restaurant as their top pick. Honestly, I can’t blame them. Not only do I attribute it as a testament to how flavorful the food was but also to their staff– they made us feel like family, going above and beyond to ensure we all had a fantastic experience. Overall, it was a perfect blend of great tasting food, warm hospitality, wonderful atmosphere and unforgettable memories!

I have being going here for years. The food has always being amazing. Even thoug the price is a lite higher than others in IB, the quality is soo worth it, and they have amazing lunch specials which are great deals. I habe always had excellent service. Typically I get the older Asian lady serving us and she is amazing. But be careful if you get a young Asian lady serving you, typicaly I ask for a slice of lemon for my water and I never get charge, but the young Asian lady charge me $3.00 She has only waited my table one in all of the years that I Have attended since the beginning.

This is hands down my go-to Thai spot in San Diego! I always get the Phad Thai and fried rice, and sometimes add the Tom Kha soup on the side (love that they have three size options). The food is always good. The service is awesome too, which makes it even better. Can’t recommend it enough!

I normally go to one of the other thai places in IB because its closer to my house. I was craving Thai and wanted to try somewhere new. Siam was incredible. I went in for the lunch special. Everything was flavorful. Sometimes the lunch plate at the other spot around the corner tastes like its discounted, watered down, less flavor, but not at Siam; everything was delicious. Honestly, the best part was the cup of tom yum soup that came with the special. It was perfect. My noodles were spicier than I would normally get but it was the kind of spicy that added to the flavor and I couldn’t stop eating it. The hostess/server was very attentive and I never had to ask for anything because she made sure to ask me first. I give this place a 10/10. It will be my new thai spot going forward. Also my lunch came out to $15 which is a great deal!

One of my all time favorites here in SD. I don’t know if its just nostalgia or what but something about this place always makes me happy! I love the pad thai here spice level 3 (1-10 scale) the mango sticky rice reminds us of our trip to Thailand and the staff is always kind. Imported beers and goood price even with the rise of inflation. Peanut sauce is delicious i always get an extra side. Not a wine person by my better half assured me its good. The atmosphere is sophisticated but if you show up in shorts and fpipflops after a long day at the beach its not a problem. Honestly just really love it here.

If picking up, the text notice of when the pick up order would be ready is a little optimistic, last night, rather than 15 minutes, it was closer to 1/2 hour. But well worth the wait!

My good friend Jerry asked me out to lunch today. Now I enjoy good Thai food now and then so was curious how Siam Imperial would stack up because as with all cuisines, it can be hit or miss. Well, let me tell ya, the lunch I had was simply amazing! It was the grilled salmon mango avocado salad. The salmon was grilled to mouth watering perfection, complimented by asparagus, avocado, mango, chopped cilantro, shallot, bell pepper and strawberries with a lime juice dressing. Every single ingredient was fresh as could be and the variety of textures and flavors was something I rarely experience. It gave me, dare I say, a euphoric feeling akin to what those who dabble in illicit substances must feel, except I didn’t feel paranoid, just completely content and satisfied. Yes, all was right with the world and I will be back! Keep up the great quality and service Siam Imperial, you are a gem in I.B.
