I had dinner at Shwe Yankin, a new Burmese restaurant in Daly City. The place is organized and clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. The menu has a variety of dishes, from salads and noodles to curries and desserts. I ordered the tea leaf salad, the nan gyi thok, and the chicken curry. All of them were delicious and flavorful, with fresh ingredients and authentic spices. The tea leaf salad was crunchy and tangy, with peanuts, sesame seeds, tomatoes, and fermented tea leaves1. The nan gyi thok was a hearty noodle dish with chicken, eggs, chickpea flour, and coconut milk1. The chicken curry was tender and rich, with potatoes, onions, and cilantro1. The portions were generous and the prices were reasonable. I also liked the presentation of the food, with different plate shapes and designs2. If you want to try Shwe Yankin to anyone that only Burmese cuisine in the area or wants to try something new. It’s a hidden gem in Daly City!
