It all began in 1993, when two local boys in Gulf Shores, Alabama decided to open up a casual family-focused seafood restaurant on the Gulf Coast. The idea was to create a restaurant where people would feel welcome to be themselves, families could afford to dine out together and strangers would leave as friends. Coastal vacationers demanded that Shrimp Basket expand to provide this incredible seafood value to those unable to be at the beach year round. Today, we’re happy to offer locations across the Southeast for family and friends to feel a part of the beach, dine and enjoy delicious seafood! At the Shrimp Basket, our goal is to make sure that you – our friends – leave happy and satisfied after every visit.
Informal chain outpost offering a variety of fried seafood dishes & an oyster bar.

Reviews
We came because of the google reviews.
Monday night, we arrived at 8:30 PM. It was not overcrowded. Many empty tables were not ready, full of dirty dishes. They urgently need helpers. Our waitress was fantastic he really enjoyed talking to our kiddos and making suggestions. I was sure his tip matched that great attitude.
Let me tell you that almost $12 for a cheese dip is really overpriced. The just made chips was a little over burned. The cheese dip was small size, and they named “seafood” on it when was just a few mini shrimp. So save your money and skip that from the menu.
We tried the onion strips as well and were nothing special, a little over burned too.
It was probably because it was the end of the day, but we could save more of $20 bucks on appetizers.
Now, the shrimp baskets and the dozen oysters were worth the wait and the bad starters.
I tried the seafood basket and was really good and plenty of food: shrimp, oysters, catfish, crab cake and fries,
So probably we’ll give a second chance.
Many thanks to our server. He makes everything easier.
