It all began in 1993, when two local boys in Gulf Shores, Alabama decided to open up a casual family-focused seafood restaurant on the Gulf Coast. The idea was to create a restaurant where people would feel welcome to be themselves, families could afford to dine out together and strangers would leave as friends. Coastal vacationers demanded that Shrimp Basket expand to provide this incredible seafood value to those unable to be at the beach year round. Today, we’re happy to offer locations across the Southeast for family and friends to feel a part of the beach, dine and enjoy delicious seafood! At the Shrimp Basket, our goal is to make sure that you – our friends – leave happy and satisfied after every visit.

This place was great! We showed up during dinner time and had to wait about five minutes to be seated, but that was no biggie as the restaurant was very inviting and nice.
We got shrimp baskets and sweet teas. Everything was fresh and tasted amazing! Also the food came out so quick! This is definitely a great place to grab a bite to eat if you are staying near or are on Pensacola Beach. Definitely recommend!

Stopped by the Shrimp Basket on Pensacola Beach and was blown away. The shrimp and grits were absolutely incredible—perfectly seasoned, creamy, and packed with flavor. You can tell they use fresh Gulf shrimp, and the dish had just the right balance of spice and richness. Easily one of the best versions I’ve had in a very long time.
The atmosphere was laid-back and welcoming, with a great beach vibe. Our server was friendly and quick, and the rest of the food we ordered came out hot and delicious.
If you’re on the beach and craving seafood, this place is a must. Highly recommend it, especially for the shrimp and grits—you won’t be disappointed!

We had a very nice lunch at The Shrimp Basket Restaurant. The atmosphere is nice, very casual and definitely a beach vibe. All of the staff were friendly and our server was excellent, personable and attentive. We enjoyed the onion strings and our shrimp platter was great. It was fresh and fried just right. We were very pleased.

This place is AMAZING!!! The red beans and rice are so flavorful! The fried flounder with from scratch tartar is one for the books! And their oysters are bigger and tastier than others on Pensacola beach. But a special shout out to TORI. She took my cabbage allergy VERY SERIOUSLY. She took extra time to make sure my food and sides went nowhere near it. That kind of attentiveness deserves accolades!!

So glad we stopped by! Visiting from CA for the Pensacola Beach Blue Angels show. Stopped by here for lunch on our way to the airport. Flavorful gulf shrimp. Drinks were great. The shining star at the restaurant: Our server, Justine! My son has a severe allergy to eggs. She was so patient and accomodating. Asked them to change which batter they were using on some of the menu items, and suggested substitutions. What a sweetheart. As for the restaurant? Highly recommend. Do it.

We were greeted immediately. Tori our waitress was phenomenal!!! She was probably the best waitress we’ve had ever! Our drinks never went empty. She was so friendly and attentive.
The food tasted amazing, hot and fresh! There was nothing that we ordered food or drinks that disappointed. We highly recommend going if you are ever in the area, we will definitely be back when we come back though.

The food here is pretty good. Especially the fried gulf shrimp! Their fried okra is amazing. Our waitress was nice and ensured we received a military discount. Check them out!
