Showmars was one of the very first places I ate at moving to Charlotte in 2020. They were also where I had hush puppies for the first time. They are so consistently good, whether dining in, take-out, or third party delivery. This most recent time I had it delivered, I was amazed with the secure and safe packaging. As usual, the food was great as well. I usually get their platter with lamb or chicken satorini, I’d like to try their fish sandwich next. I love showmars 🙂

This is by far my husband’s favorite restaurant to eat at when we visit my brother. The portions are great. The food is hot. The tarter sauce is delicious. The staff is friendly and comes by your table to make sure everything is ok. Would recommend this place.

This food is absolutely DISGUSTING!!! I am new to Charlotte and this has to be the worst place I’ve ate at so far! Onion rings nasty, shrimp ( popcorn shrimp) nasty, the carrot cake HORRIBLE!!! A waste of $26!!! I am still hungry!! The food was non edible

I haven’t had Showmars in years but decided I wanted one of their fish sandwiches today. Still great. Went to this location, service was good (and quick), food was fresh and piping hot, and the inside looked clean and didn’t get me “WHAT IS THEIR HEALTH SCORE” vibes. I also saw how they seal take out orders .

The tall cashier who took our order was not very welcoming, he was short with us and seemed to rush us as we were deciding what to order. He was very rude and didn’t offer any hospitality. We decided to dine-in, so we waited for our food to be made. Two thirds of our order was ready and I would have been fine to wait for it but another associate was drinking and talking over the food so I asked for it to be handed over so that I could take it to our table. The other associates were scrolling their phones but stopped to look up and give me nasty looks. He offered to bring the last plate over to me but I declined, as I was sure my food wouldn’t be handled with care after the insulting looks and glares. I headed to our table once the last plate was ready. After eating for a while, a different associate named Kyle took time to tidy the dining room. When he made his way over to our table, he checked to see if we needed anything and was very kind.

Your website said it couldn’t take my order so I went inside and ordered in person, calabash shrimp and an Original Pita. Got home with an Olde Fashioned pita. What a waste of time and money. I’ve never ordered that ever: chili on a pita. Don’t feel like driving back another 12 minutes to argue because my reception says olde fashion. The order taker did not pay attention nor read it back to me. My fault. Won’t go back though sorry you don’t care it’s ok.

Food was great as always, but manager blocked all of the trash cans in the eating area, even after complaining that trash receptacles should be made available to customers when it 90mins before closing with > 50% capacity. Was told that customers were free to use the trash can behind the counter, but that just creates more work for the servers. If you are going to use disposable cups, containers, & silverware, please leave at least 1 trash receptacles for customers – come on!!!
