Showmars of Denver has been serving fresh, made-to-order dishes, to the community since 2008. Folks tend to stop by for lunch or dinner, and enjoy our Flounder Platters or World Famous Fish Sandwich – just a few of our most popular dishes! Showmars of Denver donates an annual meal to the ELHS Football Team and Basketball Team. We also work with other schools in our community such as NLMS PTO and NLHS Band. We donate money to help with local school sponsorships such as the ELHS yearbook and Lincoln Charter School. We have assisted in the HATS program (Helping Animals to Survive) in the Lincoln City area. We’d love to say it’s because of our food, but our top notch customer service is what keeps families coming back for more.

Shame on me for not trying this North Carolina staple sooner—and double shame for judging it as just another fast food joint. And align your expectations! This is still fast food! Just a step above.
On a whim, my wife and I stopped in for lunch yesterday. I hadn’t been to a Showmars in probably 20 years, and honestly, I’d forgotten what it was like.
I ordered the traditional gyro with fries, and my wife had the All-American Pita Burger with onion rings. You order at the counter, find a seat, and then they bring your food out on real plates—actual dishes you have to wash. I was shocked. In a good way.
My pita bread was excellent. The meat could’ve used a touch more seasoning, and the tzatziki was very tart—almost too tart for my taste—but still fresh and satisfying. The fries were perfect. My wife’s pita burger was solid, though the meat seemed more like gyro meat than a traditional burger patty. But those onion rings? Fire. Crispy, golden, and totally addictive.
We were genuinely impressed—and a little stunned, to be honest. The restaurant was clean, the service was fast and efficient, and the whole experience felt way above what I expected.
Next time, I’m trying the fish. We saw a few plates go by and they looked incredible.

Ordered for the first time from this store. Food arrived promptly and was fresh. They did screw up my wife’s order a little hence the 4 stars.
I had the lamb gyro along with a Mediterranean pasta salad, both were very enjoyable.
I have not visited the restaurant in person so cannot gauge the atmosphere, hence the 3 stars.

Our visit to Showmars was a great experience. Although we ordered the wrong dish by mistake, the manager quickly resolved the issue by redoing our order and waiving the fee. The staff’s attentiveness truly impressed me. We’re definitely coming back!

Showmars has good food across the board. Fish, burgers, Greek, quite a bit of variety. Service is normally very good, which it was on this trip. They can get a little busy at times, particularly the weekends and seating can get a little tight. They are in a shopping center so parking can also get tight. Overall a place a regularly visit and would recommend whole heartedly.

Update: I ordered a mini milkshake but they only had regular but the lady was so nice to recommend half the cup instead of a full cup. Very accommodating:) Milkshake was soo good

The portion sizes for the shrimp dinner is sad, if im laying $17 for a meal i dont want 80% fries and hushpuppies. Rjer was barely any shrimp in the box. I will never order here again

This is the best Shomar’s I’ve ever been to, the manager and cashier’s all so kind, and good. The store is exceptionally clean. The food is also prepared better than all the Shomar’s in the Charlotte area.

At first this place was good, but the service from one specific individual has completely destroyed my opinion of this place in disgust. It’s a young kid with brown hair, he has the worst service manners I’ve probably ever had.
-first he just hands his hand out to grab my card without telling how much it is or reviewing order anything would show. “Your total is $10.36 for today, would you like a receipt?” Would be good.
-secondly I show my veteran ID for discount and he questioned me as if he doesnt believe it or challenging me.
-thirdly he has given me unsweetened tea 3 times I feel he is doing it on purpose.
-lastly please get rid of this kid and I’ll come back.

Best place for semi-fast food seafood in the Charlotte area. I always have the founder and shrimp plate. It’s great.
