I have been going to this place for decades. I still call it the 16th Street meat market. It is so much more than that though. I have never had a bad experience there. 5 star all the way ✨️. We go there almost every week after church. Oh yeah the carrot cake is award winning.

Went here for the first time today even though I’ve lived in Akron for 6 years. Everyone was very helpful, and prices were fantastic. All the pre wrapped freezer meats are 20% off, and the $50 bundle is well worth it. Also grabbed a couple meatball subs, they were very good too. Hopefully the meat is good, haven’t tried it yet.

Stopped there today for a piece of cheesecake for my birthday. I mentioned to the girl at the counter how good the chicken smelled so she added a drumstick to my bag and promised that one taste of that and I’ll be back. Man was she right – super moist, perfectly seasoned chicken! Great gem of a place. Frozen meat value bags are also a great deal.

I’ve grew up in Akron all of my life & this was the first time I’ve ever been to show case meats. I lot of my friends referred me to this place. From the outside it looks like a meat market but I had no idea they had fried chicken. I’ve been going to Racisscis for decades but I’ve stop going there since there business was sold. I missed home style fried chicken. When I came here for the first time it was nice. Everyone was very helpful and polite. It’s a nice clean atmosphere. The prices were very reasonable. I enjoyed the fried chicken seasoned just right. Thank you for having me I look forward to future visits.

EXCELLENT SERVICE!!! My husband was confused about the sauce on the wings he ordered tonight and even though he was wrong the guy that was helping him made it RIGHT. Thank you so much. The guy went above and beyond to make sure my husbands order was right and what he really wanted. It was so nice and so caring. It was right before they closed which I know can be frustrating. And he was so nice. Thank you again. We have always enjoyed your food and we will be back again and make sure to order it correct next time.

I was there as a face painter and got to watch their interactions with customers, each other and taste some of their incredible food.
The staff was fast, efficient, friendly and fun with every customer who visited, regardless of how busy it was.
The shop was spotless, perfectly stocked, organized, and decorated adorably for fall.
The food was completely delicious. My kids were thrilled with the chicken and the cookies. The meat quality was pristine.

Best chicken in Ohio!!! Been going here for years and they never disappoint. Especially love the smokey garlic dry rub on wings. They always have great customer service too. 10/10 establishment.

They did not have the cut of meat I wanted (sirloin cap). When I told the manager that I needed a minute to regroup and come up with a new idea, he enthusiastically offered to cut me a fresh sirloin cap. Within 5 minutes, he got my cut broken down and I was out of the store. Amazing service that saved my dinner plans!

Well, unfortunately this place has gone downhill. We have ordered the same thing we always order a million times. 25 wings 2 flavors. Well we ordered today and when we arrived not only would they not split the flavors, the wings had no sauce at all. So then we had to wait for them to add sauce (still only giving us one flavor) while they were not very nice about it. Additionally, they were ice cold and didn’t even taste the same. Unfortunately, Won’t be back!
