The food and service is consistently top notch here. The wait staff was friendly and efficient. The food was excellent. We arrived sort of late in the evening and they still went and freshened up the salad bar. The meals were some of the best we’ve had in some time. The prime rib was awesome. Make sure you try the homemade garlic toast and bar cheese on the salad bar.

Not a lot of restaurants left like this one. They seem to only be in the small towns.
The prices are reasonable, the amount and quality of the food is great.

We sat down and immediately got menus and our drinks ordered. We ordered and I got the salad bar for extra, it was extremely clean and everything was super fresh, bathrooms are very clean and stocked well, Food arrived in about 10 minutes, which is perfectly fine because good things come to those who wait. I got the Atlantic Cod and my dad got the Showboat Burger. My cod was fresh and hot, the fries were hot and crispy, the burger was so hot my dad had to wait for it to cool down! I’d give it a 4.5/5, -0.5 because the fish wasn’t too crunchy, but was still good.

We were seated right away. Our server diligently kept our waters full. Food tasted and appeared fresh and was served promptly and hot. We loved the perch, steak, garlic cheese potatoes, hot roasted turkey, and salad bar. We will be back!

I enjoyed their limited offering of a wet burrito and a few days later the showboat club on Texan toast.
Flattop and booth seating with plastic table clothes and paper napkins. Two separate dining areas but basic with no frills. They appear to have a bar for limited cocktails but I definitely saw a person get a Busch light with their lunch. Competitive prices. Good to very good service depending on the waitress. No wifi. The meals weren’t fantastic but were solid where I would return again.

Amazing food and the warmest atmosphere around. It was a taste of home and felt like I was surrounded by family. I can’t wait to go back! I loved the salad bar and the yummy roast beef sandwich with mashed potatoes and smothered in gravy. Husband had the showboat burger and son had the fried chicken and baked potato. The potato soup was so savory and delicious. I will have leftovers due to the portion size which makes me so happy I get to enjoy it another time again.
I’m always sad that I can’t come here more often, but excited to make the trip over knowing how delicious everything is.

It had been a year since my husband and I visited the Showboat Restaurant, sad to say our experience today was not a good one by any means. The food was nothing of what we remembered. My husband’s Delmonico steak was an odd color, tough and full of grizzle. My chicken dinner was a 3 star….the chicken was dry. The salad bar was nothing what the old Showboat used to have. Prices of course are higher like everything is, and that is understandable. But the quality of food was definitely lacking. Our waitress was very kind and attentive.

We stopped for dinner on a Saturday afternoon. We were seated quickly in the clean, casual dining room. The atmosphere was relaxed and family-friendly, the clientele was a mix of all age groups. The menu has a good mix of American diner/ comfort food choices. The salad bar is small, but fresh and tasty. The service was fast, friendly, and attentive. Overall, a very pleasant experience.

Comfort food was good. I heard there is new management so maybe they are still working out the kinks. I would say its the service I was not impressed by but the waitress was great. Loved her. It was a seat yourself kind of restaurant. Which normally would be fine with me, but we weren’t greeted right away. Which actually also doesn’t make or break service for me. But the waitresses that were on the floor didn’t smile or not to let me know they knew i was there. And it kinda looked like there was a woman who was monitoring the floor. We should have been noticed. On top of that there were no menu’s on the table to look while we waited. So we sat for 10 mins and my husband had to wave to them to get their attention to bring us menu’s. He tried ordering a beer but they dont have their liquor licence yet. Normally not a big deal but they have on their window that they serve cocktails. The food is good. But not good enough for that kind of business model. I could make the same thing at home and not have to wait for it.
