Friendly staff! We came during weekday late lunch time and the service was quick.
I really enjoyed the crispy fried chicken and would recommend ordering this dish.
FYI after picking a soup base for your meal, you’re charged separate add on (~$2) for each item you add to your soup instead of paying by weight like other malatang restaurants, so it can get pricey if you add too many items to your soup.

Restaurant is spacious and has 4 tables and 4 bar seating. The waitress was very patient and helpful in answering our questions.

I got the rich flavor beef bone meal set, it came with a huge bowl of soup noodle and a can of Diet Coke. The soup was very aromatic, flavorful, and delicious. The bowl was packed with slices of beef, bean sprouts, potato slices, fishballs, and some other veggies. I wasn’t able to finish the bowl, so I had them pack it up to bring home as a second meal the next day.

This is a fantastic no frills spot for fantastic noodles and broth! They are generous with their portions and are loaded with flavor with every single bite. The ordering can be confusing so I recommend getting one of the combos.

I recently had the most satisfying “ramen-style” bowl at Show Malatang in Boston’s Chinatown, opting for their signature Beef Bone Soup Base. While technically Malatang, the richness and depth of the broth gave it that intense, nourishing feeling I usually crave from a top-tier ramen.
The broth itself was the star—a creamy, savory explosion that held up beautifully to the level of spice I requested. The customizable aspect really let me tailor the experience, piling in ingredients like udon noodles, thin slices of beef, leafy greens, and fish balls. Every component absorbed the flavor of the intense stock perfectly, making each bite cohesive and utterly delicious. It was the perfect comforting, spicy, and deeply flavored bowl for a chilly day. If you love deep, bone-broth flavors, this is an absolute must-try.

The food is really delicious! The self selection one has many options to choose from, even more than some of the malatang places that have you pick the items out of baskets. Will definitely come back!

The food was decent, it’s standard ramen where you choose your own toppings. Overall, it was fine, but I probably wouldn’t return.

the price and the quality and the portions are so good here. I go to sechuan a lot and this is the most authentic malatang i’ve had at a restaurant that’s outside of china. ITS SO GOOD I HIGHLY RECOMMEND

Service was incredibly quick and food was great! highly customizable menu that’s fairly affordable, especially with the generous portion sizes you’re given. staff were kind, attentive, and managed the short rush we experienced well. would definitely recommend and i can’t wait to come back!!!

Overrated Ma La Tang restaurant. It’s not the typical type of Ma La Tang where you pick your own meat and veggies from a refrigerated shelf and pay by weight. Here they already have a “base” which has fixed amount and choices of ingredients. The meat choice is not that good, the beef was mainly fat and barely any lean part.
The broth is also mediocre. Will probably not visit again because I prefer the typical type of ma la tang restaurants.

The food is always good here—my bowl averages to around $13, and because the portions are good, I usually don’t get anything else. I come here with friends every so often.

Sometimes it gets busy, especially since there are only 4 bar seats and 4-5 tables, meaning there’s a wait, but it’s usually not too long. The longest time was maybe 15 minutes in my experiences.

Anyway, I love the food here. Always delicious.
