Came here for a quick 45mins lunch and it was exceptional! Very welcoming waitress and I got seated right away. I was a little bit anxious since she was the only waiting staff since I only get limited time for lunch from work. However, she was very fast and attentive to get my order . The food came out quickly, hot and fresh! I have been to Japan 5 times and this place reminds me of it quite bit, from the condiments to the flavors and customer service. Will definitely come back and try more!

If you love sushi, Shoten is a must-visit. This cozy spot serves up some of the freshest, most flavorful sushi in town, with chefs who truly know their craft.

Their sushi rolls are next-level—perfectly balanced with fresh fish, crisp veggies, and just the right amount of sauce. The tuna on fire roll has a great kick, the beaverton roll is packed with flavor, and the dynamite roll is a must-try. Each bite is a perfect mix of texture and taste.

The vibe is warm and inviting, and the staff makes you feel right at home. Whether you’re a sushi aficionado or just looking for an amazing meal, Shoten delivers. Five stars, no question.

My lady and I LOVE trying new sushi places, and we are SO Happy we found Shoten! The staff are incredible, and the serving sized of the sashimi are amazing! First time we did not finish all of our fish in one sitting! Very fresh, clean, and great deal for the price! We will be returning, get used to us!

Good but not great sushi. Looks nice and it is less expensive but not as fresh as our favorite Japanese restaurant, Murata

This place has some of the best Japanese food I’ve had outside Japan. Everything was fresh and tasty. Prices are great for the quality. Staff was welcoming, friendly, and helpful. Restaurant is clean, and the atmosphere is relaxing. It wasn’t quiet, but it wasn’t so loud that we couldn’t use normal conversation volume to talk. My only problem was trying to decide what of my many options to get. Even my 6 year old had plenty of things off the kids menu and appetizer menu she wanted to try. Will definitely be returning to try more of the menu.

The staff is very kind. We ordered bento. Beef ribs and spicy pork. We also had a bulgogi meal. The bulgogi and spicy pork had an authentic Korean taste. The beef ribs were very tender and had an also great taste. The sushi called Scallop Volcano was also very good. we couldn’t dine in because we had a dog with us, but the food was very delicious. We stopped by on the way back from Portland before heading to Washington. We will definitely be back. I’d love to this restaurant open in Washington too!!

I’ve been coming here for many years now and they still never disappoint! Sign up for their text offers, they give very generous promotions! I normally don’t get tempura rolls or fried rolls in general but this place absolutely changed my views on them! Oh my god it was perfect! Will be coming back for more fresh, generously fat rolls and melt in the mouth pepper tuna sashimi

I was really impressed with the range of authentic Japanese food on the menu. The teriyaki in the bento box could be improved. Chicken needs to be charred a bit to be more flavorful. Sushi combo plate was really good. It had a great variety of items in good amounts. Calamari needs to be fried. I think it was boiled, which made it rubbery and tasteless. All in all it was a good dining experience. It is a great place for the family and the kids. I plan to visit again to try the yakitori!

When you sign up, they offer a complimentary item on Saturdays, and today’s complimentary item was salmon collar. I love their salmon and ikura (salmon roe) bowl and used to order it for takeout often during the COVID pandemic. This time, we got two dinner bento boxes. The bento lets you choose two items, so my husband chose bulgogi and mixed tempura, while I went with salmon teriyaki and sashimi. Japanese food is often pricey with small portions, but here, the prices are reasonable, the portions are generous, and the taste is authentically Japanese. We’ll definitely be coming back to try more!

I was told to try their Shogun Prime Ramen which is a limited menu item an I am happy that I tried it. The prime rib was very tender and the broth was flavorful.
