It was nice and not too busy on a Tuesday at noon. We tried margaritas and nachos with shrimp added. The margaritas ($10 each) tasted fine but were very low alcohol. The nachos were ok (plenty for 2 people to split for a meal), but were pretty watery and the chips were limp. Adding shrimp was an extra $6 and there weren’t many, they were small, and didn’t taste like they were flavored with anything. The service was great and the people were nice. But because the food and drinks didn’t blow us away, we don’t think we’d return.

We love this street taqueria in Taos located in the beautifully remodeled old The Spot location.
We’ve eaten here four times now and have pleased each time. The tacos are tasty with ample ingredients, salsas and sauces.
We find their Pony margarita a perfect addition and a big full size. Hint, ask for an extra shot of tequila if you like tequilla.
Recently they have added taco plates which are a nice price and plenty of food. Four street tacos, beans and rice.

Was there for the second time ever yesterday and it seems the staff has done some significant upgrades from the first time I was there, the menu pops more with a sleek variety of dishes all of which seemed to standout in their own way I elected to go with the carnitas street taco plate and was not disappointed four tacos, a side of beans and white rice was the perfect amount to pair with the amazing frozen mango margarita I had. 2 enthusiastic thumbs

Had dinner at the bar the other night with a friend, the watermelon margaritas are to die for! We had the wings and the Arrachera tacos, both were absolutely amazing. The staff were all very friendly and attentive. We will definitely be back!

The hand mixed margaritas at Shorty’s are tasty and pair well with the artisan tacos. I also enjoyed the frozen watermelon margarita served in a cute pink cup you can take home! The chips were freshly made and tossed in a flavorful spice mix served with a choice of two of their four homemade salsas. Nice touch. My favorite taco was the empanada taco which turned out to be vegetarian, but the flavor of the fried avocado, crisp vegetables, and red salsa made me forget I am a carnivore. The table agreed that the shrimp tacos and fish tacos were really good and had the right amount of crispiness. Our group of four enjoyed drinks, chips and salsa, one of each of the specialty tacos and a side each of the elote, beans, and rice, sharing family style. Topped off the meal with a shared churro split made with three unique ice cream flavors. We were happy with the service, loved the decor, and the split bill was affordable for what we got.

We had a great evening here. We had fish tacos, carnitas tacos, and our friend had the steak table tacos. All were delicious. Loved the red salsa and the fruta salsa. The ser ice was great, even though we were some of the last customers to come in for the night. We will definitely be back.

Great experience, food and margarita were delicious, staff is happy and professional and the building is beautiful and clean. Birria tacos and the black beans were best I’ve had, shrimp and el pastor were also impressive. I’ll be back.

This is a great spot for date night! We sat at the bar and enjoyed a couple of fresh margaritas and FREE chips and salsa. We ordered four tacos to share. They were all delicious, but the fish taco was the star of the show. I will definitely be back soon to try some of their new entrees!

Taos’ new hidden gem. Absolutely delicious flavors, each dish with its own distinct taste. The music, art, and upbeat ambience were all enjoyed, but nothing topped the house margs and potato tacos. Great service too. Don’t sleep on the happy hour– we didn’t even know it was going on and then received half off our margaritas! We and our friends loved this place. We’ll definitely be back.
