Wow .. have lived in this area for 7 years and never new of this place. What a delightful surprise .. delicious happy hour offers; incredible prices and friendly & fun service. this is now our go to place for a decent meal and nice atmosphere. Crispy tater tots, awesome clams with garlic bread, crunchy chicken wings … can’t wait to try fried chicken Thursday and prime rib Saturday.

Google driving directions don’t take you all the way there- there are two entrances to the condo and apartment complex from the top of the hill and it’s situated near the center across from the duck pond water feature. They had crab cakes as a special that were incredible. Obviously handmade with quality ingredients and perfect seasoning. Truly awesome- and I’m very picky! Had the cobb salad also and it was really fresh. Really friendly owner and great prices. Was surprised it wasn’t packed at noon on a Saturday after tasting the food! They also have a little market, a full bar, and sports on multiple TVs.

We made the mistake by ordering food through Door Dash. It took 1.5 hours for our food to arrive (not any fault to the delivery driver who arrived at the restaurant early and waited a ridiculous amount of time). We ordered 2 cheeseburgers, chicken tenders, garlic bread, and a side of caeser salad. The burgers bland/well done and salad tasted average, chicken was dry, and garlic bread lacked any garlic. Neither food or wait time was worth it. I get the impression this restaurant is incapable of keeping up or prioritizing their orders and any delivery order is an afterthought.

What a gem! My husband and I were looking for a new place & happened upon the Shorewood Market & Cafe. It’s tucked into a fairly large apartment complex & at first I wasn’t sure we were in the right spot. We walked in and it was full of locals, which as an outsider can be uncomfortable, but then Maggie our waitress came over. Within minutes we were gabbing like old friends. My husband and I shared the Chicken pot pie & mushroom burger and couldn’t decide which was better.

So disappointed, brought three of my girlfriends after being here several years ago and had a good experience. Love to look for “hidden gems” in Vancouver wanted to share this this place. Parking is difficult and am currently handicapped but not even that could bring me closer to the entrance. Once seated, our server who I later noticed was someone I knew from another long established Vancouver restaurant. Simply put, she was awesome but also 1 of only two servers in the restaurant. The kitchen was an “open feature” which shouldn’t have been because the staff was inappropriately dressed for cooking (tank top) and worst of all no ventilation and left there wreaking of fried food, had to come home and shower! We ordered appetizers to share, yes people appetizers…and an hour and a half later we got most of them. The steak bites were more like steal bits but did have good flavor, however why ask how would you like the done? We asked for medium rare but not even an option with size of the “bits” Final disappointment was the wine, quality average, wine stems cheap, small and pours probably less than half at most restaurants for $7.50 a glass. We will not be back, sorry but your lack of customer service, food quality, kitchen staff, ventilation and not providing a detailed receipt is just unacceptable.

We came in for dinner. Parking was fine. Walked in, found a table, sat down and waited. The chef brought us water while we waited. We had no menus so i asked an individual that was at the next table if we could see her menu. We got them and the waitress stood in the middle of the dining room and said very loudly that it was rude of me to steal another persons menu!. She then proceeded to take the orders for 2 tables that arrived after us. When confronted she said have a nice day and stay safe. Needless to say we will never be back. I realize catering to the residents is important but we were there about once a month. As i said never again.
