Me and my boyfriend had a date here last night and it’s so pretty inside! The waiters were really sweet and informative, being that it was our first time at a hot pot. Everything was fresh and delicious.

I’m officially obsessed with the hot pot here. The Tom Yum soup base is incredibly delicious, and it pairs perfectly with premium ingredients like the juicy tiger shrimp and tender fatty beef. Adding taro, seafood mushrooms, and Napa cabbage made it even better! The service is top-notch, the place is spotless, and it’s a great spot to share a fun meal with friends or family.

Happy accidents do happen and my first visit here was one of those occasions. I had a hanker’n for some quality kimchi, so I made my way to my favorite local Asian market area to dine at my chosen Korean cuisine restaurant. I arrived only to find they had just closed for their regular shift change period. Booo. Since I was already there in the area, like you, I used my Google Maps to find myself a kimchi alternative supplier. Low and behold, I saw kimchi is served here at the spot I’m dropping the following review:

•••••As I entered, I was greeted politely and professionally by my server who promply seated me. I was then briefly explained how their meal process works since I let them know I’d never been before nor enjoyed a Hot Pot. I’m a “Newbie”. So the manager came by to check on me as the meal prep began and she took time to explain the cooking times for the various fresh ingredients of this enjoyable dining experience. I selected the beef option with rice, and away I went enjoying my very first Hot Pot. But gleefully, I also had some of the best kimchi Ive ever had. And ya boy dines well! Like I did this time. This meal was delicious and enjoyable fresh food. That is a kind of thing which makes me HAPPY!

So please do yourself a solid and give Shoo Loong Kan Hot Pot some of your time and a few well spent dollars to afford yourself some food you can appreciate, served by a staff who appreciates you.

Came here for the first time tonight! It was very packed for a Saturday night and we had to wait for a bit. Approaching the entrance, you can see the bustling atmosphere through the windows covered in lit lanterns. Even at the front door you can see groups waiting, and across the hostess desk is a very cute wall of dragons.
‘My’ was our server, she was very attentive. She greeted us as we sat down and immediately had cups of water ready for us. We were a party of 6, and ordered so much. She frequently checked on us, and was very active with taking our orders and serving them.
She was very sweet and always made sure we were doing okay.
For once in my foodie life, I let my friends take the wheel with the ordering. Shocking, I know. But since they introduced me to here, I figured I wouldn’t be disappointed.
We had a variety of slices of beef, fish, squid, and an abundance of vegetables.
They had a large sauce station with side dishes.
Everything was really good and tasted fantastic. Can’t wait to come back!

There are many choices for the soup base, and my favorite is the seafood congee.

The beef quality is premium, and I will recommend the Kobe Beef here.

Our server is super nice, helpful and friendly.

For some reason, all the protein we ordered was forgotten, but the server helped us to fix the issue.

I’ll come back again.

This is my new favorite hot pot restaurant. I came here twice. First time was when it was during soft opening. Service was always great, but I was disappointed with the availability of the dishes.

When I came back the second time, most of the dishes were available. My favorite soup base is tomato, pork bone, mushroom, and the spicy soup base. I can’t handle too spicy, but I love it with my meat. So I order the least spicy level. Honestly, it was still spicy for me, and the server asked me if it was too much, then he offered to scoop out all the chili pepper, it made it a lot better for me. The service was just right, server are there just when you need them. There are so many dishes that I would eat them over and over again. House special beef tripe is the best one I have tried so far. Pork feet is crispy outside but tender inside. Crystal beef is soft and tender, and many more.

This place is beyond my expectations. I will definitely come back.

This place offers excellent service and a comfortable, inviting ambiance. I love their sauce bar and appetizers, especially the pig’s ear. The food, including my favorites—pig’s kidney and liver—was fantastic and very reasonably priced. The spicy beef tallow soup base packs quite a punch, so I’d recommend starting with a milder spice level. Overall, this spot is a great alternative to HaiDiLao—and more affordable too!

I recently visited Shoo Loong Kan in Dallas and had an amazing hotpot experience! The prices are great, especially considering you can choose either 2 or 3 different soups for just under $20. The beef here is top-notch—thicker and more tender than other hotpot places I’ve been to. The vibe is lively and the restaurant gets crowded, which just adds to the fun atmosphere. They also have spacious tables, with a round table for 8-10 people, making it perfect for group dinners.

We tried the Tom Yum, Pork, and Mushroom soups, all of which were delicious. The filet fish had a slightly strong smell, but the Saba fish was sweet and flavorful. I wasn’t a fan of the plum juice, as it had a smoky taste, but my boyfriend loved it. The meal was a little more expensive than other hotpot spots, but the quality and experience make it totally worth it.

For 6 people, our total was around $260, including tax but before tip. The best part? They don’t automatically add a tip for larger groups, which is a nice touch. To top it off, they offer free ice cream at the end—definitely recommend trying the strawberry flavor! There’s still so much more to try, like their fried rice and other sides, so I’ll definitely be coming back for more. Highly recommend!
