This place is AMAZING! As a truck driver, I stop here every trip across central TN. There’s room to park out in back of the lot. The employees here are pleasant and welcoming. The food is always good and well seasoned. The buffet is ALWAYS clean, well stocked, and there’s always a great variety of food options. To make this place even greater, brother Bill aka the Hillbilly with a Bible has Bible study on Monday evenings at 6:30p in the back dining room area. I highly recommend this place!!

Mom and I visited while on a quilting trip. Neither of us had been to Shoneys in 20+ years. The hot fudge cake was super and just as we remembered!!

The place was so clean. The food is really good especially the fried chicken, and hamburger steak. My server was so polite and I never had to wait on a refill. I especially liked the salad bar. It was well stocked and the vegetables were so fresh. This place is definitely worth it and I will be back. Thank yall for a wonderful experience.

Im a huge fan of Shoneys and always hit it on road trips. This was easily a top 3 Shoneys experience for me. Clean open floorplan, and bathrooms also nice. The bar was hot and fresh, the actual owner of the restaurant sat me and was very sweet, and my server Marti was excellent, helpful and let me talk her ear off for a few minutes! Will definitely keep this location in mind next time im between knoxville and Nashville!

The service was awesome. The sandwiches were great. The hot fudge cakes were delicious but the strawberry pie was not good. Other then the pie it was a great lunch.

We were sitting for minutes before someone took our drink order. And even though there were 5 people at the register,it took minutes before they went to the back and got a lady to take our drink order. Manager and 4 girls were upfront when we walked in

This is not the Shoneys of yesteryear! Breakfast buffet is pathetic and extremely overpriced. The amount of money my wife and I spent, we should have left full… instead we left knowing that we will never return. Our server was awesome…the male manager should not be managing a restaurant. He could not have been more rude! Go to Waffle House. And to think, 40 years ago Shoneys is where I started my career as a high school student. PATHETIC DECLINE.

Stepping into Shoney’s after 35 years was like walking into a time capsule. The same red booths sat in their familiar rows, a little more faded but unchanged. The air carried that old, faint whiff of fried food, pulling me back to childhood dinners with my parents. The staff’s smiles were as warm as ever, a steady constant from decades past.
Yet, some things hadn’t aged well. Hand sanitizer bottles cluttered every table and counter, an odd sight that felt out of place. The reason became clear in the bathrooms. The men’s room had a stale, sour smell, and my wife said hers was just as bad. They felt as grimy as I remembered from years ago, untouched by any real effort to clean or update.
The state of the bathrooms raised a red flag about the food. In any restaurant, a dirty bathroom often hints at a kitchen in worse shape—it’s a rule of thumb I’ve always trusted. If the restrooms are neglected, still reeking like they did 35 years ago, I couldn’t help but wonder about the unseen corners of the kitchen. That lingering doubt made every bite less appetizing.
The menu itself was another relic. The same burgers and meatloaf filled the pages, with only a few new items sprinkled in. I’d hoped for fresher, healthier options, but the offerings felt as dated as the decor. It’s no surprise Shoney’s seems to struggle, stuck in a loop of sameness.
I’m not sure when I’d return. This place holds memories of family meals, but its unchanging state—down to the grime—feels more stale than comforting. Maybe I’ll check back in a few years, hoping for a sign of progress.
