Took my father to eat breakfast on 4-14-2023 . We were served by a young man named Tanner. He was outstanding and kept our drinks up and was a professional in the game . Always making sure we had what we needed.. The restaurant was clean and remodeled. The food was outstanding. Some extra family showed up unannounced and Tanner took care of them without blinking.Tanner offered my little niece to have fresh cooked pancakes verses the bar. My father’s sister died that morning was why we were there and Tanner and staff made the morning nice. Thanks Mr.Tanner and Shoneys staff.

The best experience I’ve ever had at a Shoney’s! The food was great and the buffet well stocked and clean. Servers were attentive as well. I loved the Fried chicken the most! Even the bathrooms were clean. Great food for an affordable price! I will definitely be back!

We had a little birthday party in the back room. We enjoyed the location. It was clean, everyone was friendly. The food was good, although the only down fall while ordering the buffet, there isn’t much to choose from.

Our server didn’t seem to want to serve me and my mixed friend. They didn’t seat my friend until she tried to seat herself and then when she was seated the server walked away without asking what she would like to drink while I had went to the restroom. Our server was busy chatting with coworkers so my friend had to walk up to her to ask about drinks. Based on the interaction with the other white family and white couple seated in our servers section I’d say our server seemed to be racist. The breakfast buffet was very limited. The home fries were cold and hard and the pancakes were dried out as well as the sausage links. The bacon was half burned or not cooked fully. I don’t know how they accomplished this. Then, they brought out an off brand syrup container to refill the syrup. Overall the experience was not good. I would not recommend this location just go into Nashville.

I liked everything so much that I went there for dinner the three nights I spent in the area. I ordered off the menu. But must say the salad bar and others looked great! I just can’t eat that much!

The buffet was small not many meat dishes ( fried chicken, bbq ribs and some baked pork chops)to choose from. There are quite a few different pasta salad choices. But I do have to say the wait staff was phenomenal our drinks were kept full and that is the cleanest restaurant I have ever been in. The salad bar was very clean the women that took care of the buffet made sure it was spotless and well stocked. The restaurant itself was an immaculate shape, and the bathrooms were just as clean. We will visit again when traveling through the area

Tom’s pick and Shoney’s it was. I have not been to this place in almost 20 years ago on the other side of Tennessee. I was not much for the Buffett, for I really only am a fish and veggie kind of girl. It did look fresh and I’m sure if the country cooking is your thing, then it may have been perfect. Tom got some crazy 2 story cheese burger with bacon and fries. I got blackened salmon with teriyaki with rice and onion rings, I was allowed the salad bar and cold foods. Tom enjoyed his burger and I was surprised to enjoy my salmon and onion rings. I had some pudding and strawberry with bananas. The tea here is tasty also, and our waitress Alyssa was most excellent! I was so pleased with her eye contact attentive service and pleasant words, they are lucky to have her. I would eat there again solely on the experience alone!

I like to take my family here for the breakfast buffet on the weekends. If you go there with an appetite it’s worth the money and a majority of the people there have children too; therefore it’s not the end of the world when your baby starts crying. That’s a big deal for me at least. I recommend it.

OK. How can anyone give this Shoney’s anything less than a 5 star review. I always wonder when I read reviews of a restaurant if the 5 star reviews are just from the workers, but I can promise you this is not the case with this review. I have been going to this Shoney’s for almost a year now and the quality of the food has never changed one bit. I drive and hour and a half, from Sparta just to eat here. I was told to give this Shoney’s a try and I am glad I did. I now meet my sisters here every other week just because the food is so fresh and good. The staff there are always so kind and we have gotten to know some of them by name. I have a Shoney’s about 25 minutes from me in Crossville, and after trying it, I would never go back. The Shoney’s in Lebanon (I have been told, is owned by a lady who is there a lot just to check on the quality of the food and the service) is by far the best Shoney’s that I have ever been to. I am 70 years old and hate to waste my money on bad service or bad tasting food, but in all the times I have been going to this place, that has never happened. My friends laugh at me when I tell them that I drive an hour and a half every other week just to eat at Shoney’s. But each time I head back home after we have had lunch, I always think that it was worth it. My sisters feel the same way even though their drive is much shorter. If you are ever passing by Lebanon, TN. on interstate 40 and wondering where to eat, then give it a try. You won’t be disappointed. (Oh, and make sure you get the bar because the fried chicken is the best you have ever tried.)
