Excellent breakfast buffet. Pretty high for a cup of coffee and a glass of orange juice…but the food was delicious and the buffet had a wonderful variety of different types of food to choose from. Service was okay…the waitress was MIA when I was ready for the check to pay and leave.

My husband and I finally got an overdo date night and decided to go to a movie then eat at Shoney’s. We noticed it kind of stunk when we walked in but had heard such good things about the food that we decided to stay. We ordered burgers and fries. While we waited we saw filthy floors the tables were dirty. They brought his hamburger order out and said mine would be ready later. About 5 or so minutes later they finally brought my chicken sandwich out it oozed with juice and we both got a handful of fries that were mostly burnt or crispy. The portions were small for the price and when we left we were still hungry. We paid the $23 and I went to the ladies restroom to wash my hands(which I wasn’t able to do because there was no soap and the sink was nasty looking) and the toilets were disgusting there was pee everywhere, a toilet up was backed and the sinks were gross. We should have turned around and left like our guts said to begin with but sadly we didn’t. Needless to say it was our first and last visit to Shoney’s.

The waitresses get a 4-star they do an exceptional job with getting the clients in and seated. The Sunday breakfast bar gets two stars, some of the food was cold, the chicken tenders were not cooked all the way ( raw in the middle). I know the kitchen staff can do much better.

Great breakfast bar. The atmosphere is wonderful. The food is good and we have never had a bad waitress. They have all been working there for a long time so that tells you it’s a good place. Great place to eat any time of the day.

While at Shoney’s, we had great table service provided by a friendly waitress. The restaurant was clean, and so was the buffet area. They had many items to choose among that would be pleasing to meat lovers, those wanting “comfort food,” and those, like myself, who wanted a great salad!

I had the breakfast bar I was not impressed. The eggs were not done the bacon was burnt on one half and raw on the other. The biscuits tasted more like flour than a bread. They seriously need to get someone in the kitchen who knows how to cook, and if they are following guidelines from corporate they need to speak up and let somebody know that the bar isn’t working.

New owners have changed some things. Fish & chips did come w sou & salad. Now pay extra. Huge % $ increase. The fish filets were too thick so had undone fish and badder. Meal was replaced w well prepared food. Have not decided if I’ll return.

I’ve been eating here for 25 years with my family. My grandma used to take me here, and now I bring my family. It’s clean, the food is very well tended to, as opposed to the shoneys I’m used to. The staff is friendly and adhere to the warm atmosphere values of the restaurant with unyielding kindness and hospitality.

The food was bland. It needed to be seasoned. Tasted like it came right from a can. The green beans left much to be desired. I had a piece of pork chop. When I pulled off the fat and coating, there was a VERY small piece of meat. Shame, shame! The water though (with a slice of lemon) was refreshing! Our waitresses (we had one and a helper) were very attentive.
