I can’t believe I’m giving a buffet style eatery 5stars! Janice is the topper. This place was clean, food was fresh and Hubby filled his plates 3 times. Our server/hostess, Janice, is a sweet, precious person! Not only did she treat us like we were her grandkids coming to eat breakfast, I overheard her interaction with others and it’s obvious that she’s one in a million. Shoney’s had better appreciate her, she’d be a wonderful addition to any business. (This was our 1st visit, and she doesn’t know us from the man in the moon)

Service was good. Had a good waiter that kept our drinks full. Only complaint is I wish they had more selection on the buffet. The macaroni that came with my meal tasted hard and not very good. Other than that the green beans, corn on the cob and my country fried steak was good. My husband enjoyed the sliders

I went for breakfast with my daughter and her twin babies. Even though they have recently gutted and renovated the building inside and out, it didn’t change anything about the food or service. I love Shoney’s but don’t recommend this particular location. We waited 20+ minutes just to get the waitress to take our order and should have left then. But the twins were getting fussy and wanted to eat. If you are looking for good food and friendly service, try somewhere else.

We had the buffet. It was down home southern cooking. It was all fresh and tasty. They were not busy but it was early.

Friday evening wasn’t too busy. Pleasantly surprised by the quality of the steak and seafood buffet. Steak was tender, salmon was wonderful. The service was friendly and prompt to meet our needs. The staff was diligent about keeping the food bars stocked and clean.

I was greeted in a nice manner and seated immediately. My waitress did everything a server should do. I decided to go with the unlimited breakfast buffet due to me being pregnant I wanted to have more of a variety rather than just one set meal. I was craving pancakes however the pancakes on the line was not warm yet along hot. They looked appealing but I could not eat them. Butter would have not even melted on them. I was tempted to inform my server but I decided to just eat something else. The breakfast buffet was $9.99. I’m the type that doesn’t mind paying for something if it’s something I want. But had I known the main thing I came to Shoney’s to eat wasn’t going to be hot I would have just went to McDonald’s and got pancakes & sausage platter with Bacon added like I normally do. I still tipped my server but I think the employees that work the line need to do a better job checking the temperature of the food on the line. Everything else was good. This was the Shoney’s located in Wetumpka, AL.

They have done some work and the place looks better, the new carpet is a great improvement, but some attention should have been given to the booths. The food was good, and was freshened for us as we dined at 3pm. Overall much better than my last few visits.

Just had a remodel and it’s really nice and clean. Friendly, quick service even for party of 6 on a busy night. Friday seems to be steak night, and while I wasn’t impressed with it (kind of greasy), they had a lot of seafood options like catfish, stuffed crab, shrimp, clams, and salmon. I had the salmon and it was very good. Also had a nice salad bar.
