While I am not a particular fan of buffets, sometimes I go to Shoney’s Airport. But, no more. The owner has neglected the restaurant over the years. I asked about the dirty carpet and the reply was that it had not been cleaned in a while. No problem with that person but I replied that the carpet is waaaay past the cleaning stage. It has molded food, mildew, etc. Just horrible and a great appetite suppressant. Why is there carpet in the restaurant?! Just saying!! I must say that the employees seem frustrated at times but very nice and attentive.

The food on the bar did not look appetizing. It looked old the bar needed to be refreshed and washed down. Food particles were dried on the surrounding area. It just looked old and unclean. The carpet needed to be vacuumed. Trash was on the floor. It was a disappointment. I honestly would not recommend my friends to this restaurant. I don’t know what’s happened to this Shoney’s. Maybe it just was a bad day. Need more lighting.

I have always loved eating here, for any meal- breakfast, lunch, or dinner. They have the real southern food cooking that I love. On the breakfast bar, they have the best biscuits and gravy in town compared to all the other breakfast places I’ve visited! Thanks Shoney’s!

Their breakfast is amazing. They have a very good selection of things I like the chicken and waffles I would recommend and then you can order if you don’t like what you see at the bar so that’s a plus. The service is really good too. The dinner bar there’s not a very big selection just the basics chicken, roast beef l, chop, barbecue those are just a few things what they have so if you’re looking for something along the lines of a small, southern dinner, then this is the place to go.

We don’t have Shoney’s anymore in Georgia so it was good to reminisce and go back in time.. this particular location had a really good hot bar for breakfast and the waitress was extremely nice knowledgeable personable right on task. Was greeted right out the door by the greeter and the overall experience was very good..

I haven’t been to Shoney’s of west Columbia in many years and I’ll NEVER come back. First thing that got me is the awful smell as soon as you walk in. 3 ppl was $45 and The food was disgusting. Everything overcooked or undercooked. Bacon and sausage is sitting in a pool of grease, bacon was cooked in a pile and wasn’t properly cooked all over. Booth area was nasty as far as the chairs, floors, and walls. Food bar was dirty so much old food just stuck everywhere. Overall I was not satisfied with this restaurant
