In town for a funeral, stopped in because there are no more Shoney’s where we live and my husband used to work at one when he was a young man. He actually ordered the shrimp and it was exactly the same as it was a long time ago! Brittany was our server and she was fantastic. We need more people like Brittany in our service industry.!
Complaints: a female server was unhappy to be working with an employee the next day. This is unprofessional behavior. Be more considerate, handle your business outside of work and not in front of customers especially seeing how the kitchen is exposed and all the customers from here conversation. The ceiling needs to be repaired. The tables were clean, menus a little sticky. The sign outside should definitely be updated. We are happy with our experience all in all. Thank you.

I’ve been going to shoney’s all my life and it pains me that so many of them are closing. Jonas is an American icon. I miss seeing the big boy all across the country. This particular show is encapsulates what’s showing us restaurants are all about. Go there and you’ll get great food, they fantastic buffet. I need to take you back to a simpler time. And don’t forget to hot fudge cake!

Poorly kept it looks like. Bad management will ruin your business. Stopped in but definitely won’t be back. It took forever. Clearly under staffed and the poor lady was trying to run everything while her help was wandering around.

This was a disappointment. We arrived around 12:45, and decided to try the lunch special.
We were greeted at the door, and our server was pleasant and attentive. It does look like the ceiling above the register is collapsing.
The food on the bar was very poor. Many of the sides were dried out.
I only ate one bite of the black eyed peas and rice.
The biscuits were gummy, but the rolls were okay.
The fried chicken was VERY tough. Probably the toughest wings I’ve ever tried to eat. I couldn’t even pull the wings apart.
I’m pretty sure much of the food had been sitting there since 11, but that is just speculation.
We should have ordered off the menu.
The girl at the register did ask how the food was, and I told her it was “barely okay, and seemed rather old”. She said, “… Yeah…”
We were back out of the restaurant within 15 minutes. We paid $30 after tip for two people, and that was probably $20 too much.
My son had never been to Shoney’s, and said he will never be back. I don’t blame him.

This place has gone downhill. Couple weeks ago they had a letter C on the door . Now they have the Letter A on the door which i dont know how when the food is terrible. The Biscuits was burnt, Eggs was Burnt, The bacon was near black. The sausage was cold and the potatoes was cold. That man in that kitchen needs to be fired. When I ate there yesterday, The majority of the customers was complaining because how bad the food was. I spoke to the manager on duty about it, She has no care in the world about the situation. Just allowing it to happen. This place needs new staff and new management.

Stopped in for Shoney’s signature potato soup, not available. Only soup available was cabbage. Buffet was not well stocked. Vegetables cut into huge pieces. Croutons were stale and salad dressing, had to scrape bottom of pan. Chicken was good. Place was empty…should have been taken as a warning!

I was invited to the Shoney’s by my family members, and I thought that the Shoney’s had went out of business so I hadn’t seen any in so long. Years prior to this I went to the Shoney’s off of Garner ferry Road and they used to have the T-bone steak special And it was so good then it was sad and when I saw that they had closed for good, but now to have found another Shoney’s that’s seem like it’s been sitting there for decades and still offering that delicious buffet. Breakfast was the cherry on top for me. It was like I had found an old friend or that diamond in the rough. The service was exquisite the people so friendly and courteous, and the food was just delicious for lack of a better word you would truly enjoy going here for their breakfast. Trust me you would not regret it. They had pancakes. They had waffles. They had French toast, bacon, sausage, eggs, grits biscuits, sausage, gravy, fruits they even had a salad bar for breakfast so if you’re looking for a good place to have a good breakfast good coffee good conversation in a relaxed setting this Shoney’s would be the place. I hope this review takes you right into the front door of Shoney’s so that you two can experience what I experienced. Happy eating to you all..

The food on the buffet was cold they brought out chicken and I was so happy until I picked it up and it was not hot. Mac and cheese looked like it was from lunch and they never changed it just dumped old on top of old and left it. The worst on the puffer was some green fluff with brown pineapples we almost got sick that this was what they served people. Will never go to this location the manager was rude and acted like we didn’t know what we were talking about. The owner needs to replace its management team . I used to love Shoneys but now nope they lost my business and anyone I talk to

Great customer service awesome home cooking. The cook heard us talking about porkchops and surprised us by bringing some to our table. It’s a 40 minute drive but we will definitely be back.
