This storied location has taken an extreme and troubling nose dive. My family and I came here at 9am on a Sunday morning. We had to wait 15 minutes before our drink orders were taken and even before we were given utensils. Kayla, our server, did her best. I ordered a egg white spinach omelet off of the menu, only to find out that spinach was not available…at least the mushroooms/tomatoes subbed turned out yummy. The buffet was constantly out of key foods like grits, eggs, bacon, and pancakes. The pancakes were rock hard and the bacon was wet and dripping if greasy, not crispy at all. Ordered blueberry muffins, but, when I didn’t get them, was told at check out “we don’t have Blueberry Muffins.” Wow. I’m sorry. As much as I eaten at Shoney locations in my life, I would not suggest coming here for breakfast at least until they improve.

There was a fly cooked into the jello and the manager’s response was “I can’t control the flies, make another plate” needless to say, I did not make another plate and will not return. That is DISGUSTING

Food was good and hot. We stood for approximately 10-15 minutes before being seated at 8:30 AM, the place was pretty slow for a weekend breakfast time. The young girl who sat us, brought our drinks never came back for refills or anything we stood another 10 minutes to pay.

This Shoney’s is closing for good very soon. Sad to see it go. It was a favorite meeting place for many locals!

This was the last time I’ll ever waste money here. It almost appears as if this dump is going out of business. Most of the food was room temperature, and every item on the buffet had been out there for a long time, especially the rice and mashed potatoes. I’m 100% convinced the macaroni and cheese was rancid. The beef stew didn’t have any beef, and the potatoes and onions in it weren’t cooked. The fried chicken was cold and soggy. Time and temperature is the #1 cause if foodborne illness, which no one at this location seems to know or care too much about. I left food in my plate, that crap was disgusting.

We had The buffet option. The place looked abandoned. Really not much to choose from but fried and roasted chicken. The lady at the register (the same waitress) was the nicest. We had a trip, and had a party of 13 people, they’re not staffed for that many, or many tables at once.

Service is friendly, I think the selection of food should be better. Why fry fresh chicken to give the buyers only 2 wings amongst the other parts. Food was a little salty but surprisingly not the chicken, which they had fried and baked. Salad could’ve been more fresh and add some spinach to the bar.

I am at this Shoney’s restaurant and the store appears to have no heat because it is cold. I am here for breakfast. Upon fixing my food from the bar the food is cold. I had to request my waitress warm my food in the microwave. I asked to speak with management and she have not come out to speak with me and it’s been over 30 minutes. Due to the quality of food/ service I didn’t want to pay for food not satisfying. I tip my waitress due to this not being her fault. Before leaving, I asked if management would come out to address me? Another waitress looks at me and said; Oh I just got here. Which she was the one that told me I could seat myself when I entered.

The price is reasonable for the selection offered; however, despite opening at 7am for breakfast, by the time I usually arrive around 8am, not all the food is displayed, resulting in a wait for certain items. It seems they have improved the preparation of grits, which are no longer watery as mentioned in my previous reviews.
