Go there for the ambience. I had their tasting menu. Their eggplant basil miso soup was good. Their presentation is nice. But the food isn’t worth the price. The flavors are very very mellow. I have had better vegan sushi at other places.

#Vegan #Foodie #Love! Our Server was a sweetie and I loved her attention to detail with the options, including our drinks. I Had Zucchin Flowers & Shared Other Dishes With Jasmine. But Y’all…Get The Chef Special When You Go…So You Have Leftovers

I don’t like giving bad reviews, but this place just wasn’t worth the price. The food coming out for each plate was pretty slow. I think the wait staff knew the kitchen was backed up so they were very attentive with giving us refills of water. But overall the meals all kind of tasted the same. Most of everything was really mushy and lack flavor and depth. I’ve had some REALLY great vegan food and vegan sushi and this place was really not worth a $22 for each roll. Don’t recommend, Sorry 🙁

Shojin is incredibly special! Not only is it the best vegan sushi in Los Angeles, but everyone who works here from the front of house to kitchen staff are so sweet, kind & considerate. The service is truly remarkable. The “crab” hand roll is hands down the best plant-based sushi dishes I’ve ever had & their mushroom and shishito pepper skewers were amazing too. We’ll be back soon!

Shojin, a vegan and gluten free themed Japanese restaurant, is one of the best meals I have had in recent memory. We had the chef’s special tasting menu 12 items for $58 per person, then added desserts, so plus drinks it was a pricey night out for four, but so enjoyable it was worth it. The preparation is impeccable and the flavors are indescribably great. The service is so kind and attentive. We went away so full. See photos for some of the culinary delights.

We loved our first visit to Shojin! The location is surprising and convenient. It is a nice, small, friendly space. I’m sure it’s bustling on the weekends in the garden space.

Reservation experience: I had made a reservation on Yelp about a week or so in advance.

Some of the best gluten free food I’ve ever had. It is always so difficult for me to find good food since I have celiac and a severe milk allergy, so I am so grateful to have found this place. There wasn’t a single thing that I ate where I didn’t immediately go, “omg this is so good.” I would recommend this place to everyone and will DEFINITELY be going back

Nice cozy restaurant with average tasting food. We liked the dragon roll and ramen revolution. This place is usually busy over the weekends so make sure that you make a reservation on Yelp beforehand.
