Had all you can eat shushi
Great menu to select from
Lots of fried but delicious food
It was around $25 $26 for all you can eat.
I wish there were more desert options.
Food was really fast.
Great customer service. Plenty of spaces to dine in
Lots of free parking outside of the facility.

The beef and chicken very dry. The taste of the misu soup with sour taste.
The price for each adult including tax and tips around $50 CAD and all you can eat. But the tour guy collect $80 CAD for each people and only one main course…..Beef, chicken or salmon.

Me and my family tried their AYCE a couple of times already.
Good food and menu, I just wish they offer simple ramen or takoyaki.
Price is on the “not so expensive but not so cheap” side.
Same price in the GTA but more options there than here, maybe because of food/ingredients sourcing.
Nevertheless, this is the only Japanese restaurant in town and I’m happy that there is this kind of establishment here.
Will definitely go back again

Shogun Sushi is a place I absolutely love, and I find myself visiting at least once a week. The taste is excellent, and the food is usually fresh, which is a major plus. The service is friendly and the ambiance is delightful. I genuinely enjoy my time spent there. However, I would be even more delighted if they had a loyalty program in place to reward their loyal customers. Overall, it provides a memorable experience with great flavors, fresh food, friendly service, and a beautiful setting. It’s a place I highly recommend for sushi lovers.

I’ve been here a few times and it was always mediocre. But this last experience was the worst.

It took over an hour to get some of the first dishes we ordered. Several things were missed.

The sashimi came out partially frozen.

The staff were pleasant, no complaints with the individuals.

If this restaurant can’t keep up with a full restaurant and all their delivery orders then they need to make some changes. This was my worst experience at any sushi restaurant in a longtime.

I’ve been to many all-you-can-eat restaurants before, and I fully understand and respect the policy of charging for unfinished food. However, this was the first time in my life I’ve actually been charged — for just four small pieces of sushi, for 2 people.
What really disappointed me was not the policy itself, but the lack of communication. No staff mentioned that they would charge us for the leftovers. If they had simply told us, we would have gladly finished them right away.
Instead, they quietly added the charge to the bill without saying a word. It felt sneaky and unpleasant.
I completely agree that customers shouldn’t waste food, but at the very least there should be basic communication and transparency. A friendly reminder would have solved everything.
Unfortunately, this experience left a bad impression

It took approximately 30 minutes to receive my first order, which consisted of four pieces of sashimi, green tea, and soup. Even then, not all items were delivered. During that time, no staff member checked on our table, offered drink refills, or addressed the missing items from the order. I have always considered the service here to be average, but this was by far the worst experience I’ve had at this restaurant. When I decided to leave due to the lack of service, I was still expected to pay the full all-you-can-eat price of 40$. What made the situation more frustrating was that the restaurant was not busy, operating at less than half capacity

New to the Soo. People had warned me about sushi not being fresh in this town. Was told I’d never eat good sushi here. Decided to give Shogun as take out a try nonetheless. Fish was fresh. Sushi were delicious. The Soo sushi was beautifully spicy and crunchy. Rolls were on the smaller side (hence 4 starts instead of 5) but sashimi were a good size. I would eat there again!

My favourite sushi place the Soo has ever had, though I did prefer their previous location. Unlike places like JC Sakura who had grossly inconsistent food quality and service, Shogun Sushi is very consistent, and my favourite items are always what I expect them to be. One of my favourite places in Sault Ste. Marie to dine-in at.

Update: came here with my dad yesterday.

It seems like things did not change.
While the environment is clean and staff is polite enough it’s hard to flag them down for any extras if you need forks or sauces as sides. They’re busy, sure but the restaurant wasn’t packed and it lacked availability for eye contact.
While I understand it’s all you can eat- the quality seems to reflect a price saving mindset. We ordered enoki beef rolls and the onion rolls and there was barely any beef to speak of wrapping the veggies. I’ll attach a photo. It also doesn’t specify in the menu that when you select you’re only getting one item- so I ordered shrimp tempura and was given ONE at a table or two. We did re order more but it seems as though it would be obvious to make it a double serving as a baseline?

They have a high rice ratio and smaller filling ratio. The hand rolls were basically just rice.
I found they skimped a lot which was not fun, especially since it was a seventy dollar meal for two. We’re paying for it. Sure, serve small bits a a time but skimping will not tempt me to return for mediocre quality sushi to begin with.
It’s unfortunate this is the only location.

Also on our arrival many of the empty tables were still dirty with crumbs all over. It wasn’t so busy they could not keep up. This just dampened the experience.

Came here for lunch. We arrived when they opened at 1130 am. We ordered. They were very slow to pick up our orders even though there was maybe four tables total.
We didn’t start getting food until around 1245.
The food quality is the same- decent reliable sushi.
But they took forever. By the time we were ready to pay at 150 pm they were bringing out items they hadn’t brought us yet that we had forgot about.
People were lined up like crazy to get in, very disorganized not enough staff ? I don’t know. It was pretty awful.
Only good part is we got to socialize for longer than planned.
Maybe it’ll improve once they get into the swing of things.
