Bummer I have to write this. The location in south county is great. This location was not. Waitress was nice and relatively attentive, that’s where the good stops. The menus have “just been reprinted” so what you see us not what you get. I asked about an entree and found out that the menu mistakenly claimed sirloin steak with a meal, luckily I was informed that there was no steak in that meal. I ordered a roll from the laminated color photo menu, read the description. It arrived incorrect. But no worries, the chef was able to confirm that the menu was wrong and i’m just plain not getting what I ordered. Then comes my meal. Steak and scallops hibachi. It was like a soup. The vegetables as finely diced as the “steak”. I sent mine back. Ordered nothing else. The kid didnt want to make a fuss so she chose to go ahead and drink hers, with the exception of the extra super well done shrimp. So I give one star. Fix the menu or honor it. If the menu shows a roll with roe, and the description reads roe, then it comes with roe. You dont get to claim that both a photo AND description are wrong just to save a few cents. And falsly claiming steak on an entree is a heck of a misprint. Will never return here.

Supposedly filet. Rice wasn’t cooked through. Meat was dry. Ordered a shrimp app that so small I didn’t take it. I’d expect better from a mall food court. Took it to go. Having to DoorDash a decent dinner.

Fun atmosphere, typical Hibachi style. I ordered the filet mignon and stuffed mushrooms. The filet mignon was a bit overdone and lacked flavor. I feel it needed more umami or a marinade. My stuffed mushroom appetizer came out really late, but was well worth the wait. Overall, you will walk away with a full to-go box. Good value for the money. Good flavor all around.

Great place for Japanese food prepared in front of you. Serving sizes are huge. We had a lot to take home with us and ate on it for the next two days. The shrimp and steak were well seasoned. Loved watching them prepare the food! It’s a bit pricey, but for what you get, it is so worth it. Might try the lunch specials later.
The place was clean, and it was easy to get to. They also offer takeout.

We had a great experience at Shogun Steakhouse! The hibachi chef was entertaining and made the whole dinner fun while cooking everything perfectly. Highly recommend and we’ll definitely be coming back!

What a great place to eat! If you leave there hungry, that ios your own fault! I took the kids and grandkids there Saturday, 1/4/25, because I owed my youngest Football Player a nice oriental dinner, far better than the local Chinese joint. Everyone loved the food. It is one of the best Japanese Cuisine in the country!

Great experience. So glad we came. Sit at the hibachi grill. Make a reservation. Don’t go to a table. Sit at the grill, I say again!

You will not leave hungry and wow will you enjoy yourself. It’s also a wonderful value compared to even a place like Texas Roadhouse.

Shogun, never change! Keep those fair prices. But … ok if you’re going to change one thing, can you squirt saki in people’s mouths? I’ve seen that done at another hibachi grill and it’s a nice touch.

Nothing much to rave about here. I’ve been to Japanese steakhouses before and this was probably my least favorite.
My main complaint was the food portions: They made and served three times as much vegetables and rice than anyone could possibly eat, while the meat portions were fairly small. The piece of seabass they served me was probably 3-4 ounces. We’ve been eating the leftover rice and vegetables for days.
The cook at the table/grill was not that entertaining. His voice never went above an indecipherable mumble. And he had nothing unique to offer which I hadn’t seen before.
The service was nothing to brag about. Slow. They didn’t provide nor offer chopsticks. So after I got the mountain of vegetables and rice, I started looking around for our waitress to ask for a pair. She was nowhere to be found. After several minutes of me looking around, the cook finally asked if I needed something. I asked him if I could have some chopsticks. He then mumbled “Panda Express”. Not sure if that was supposed to be a joke or something. But then nothing happened. A few minutes later, he gave me a pair of chopsticks. Why did he wait?

We came last night for my boyfriend’s birthday and had a very disappointing experience. The restaurant was freezing, everyone had their coats on, and our server even said the temperature would not be fixed. It was so cold that our food turned cold almost immediately after being served.
On top of that, the chef provided no entertainment and went straight into cooking, which was confusing and not what we expected. Overall, this was the worst experience we’ve had here, especially for a special occasion.
