Food was great, (hibachi and sushi was extremely fresh) service was outstanding! Especially Jason! Was having a rough day and decided to go eat at Shogun! Why not? I eat at the Buford GA location all the time. Jason made my day better with his kindness and constant checking on our table. It was really busy but he didn’t seem annoyed at all, he was all over the place assisting waiters, hosting, managing, and even gave great advice about life in general. (Silence will always stay with me) I will forever visit this location when in Greenville NC! Go Pirates !

It is a Chinese/ Japanese restaurant, just like other Japanese place in Greenville. Can’t expect much from here so you order food that is low risk like everybody else. Hibachi and Chinese dishes. If you do that, food will get serve quick.

We had the mango shrimp with miso soup, house salads with ginger dressing, and filet mignon. We enjoyed the banana tempura for dessert. Our food was delicious. The restaurant was clean and not overly noisy and the staff were very accommodating, and friendly.

My friend and I ate at the restaurant today. Our waiter was Matthew and he was beyond amazing. One of the best waiters I’ve had in a very long time. He was knowledgeable about the menu and answered every question I had. He constantly checked on us and was so friendly and had a good energy about him, despite the fact that the restaurant was very busy tonight. Even when I ordered something unfamiliar and didn’t like it, he assured me that it was ok and got me a different order. From the moment he introduced himself as our waiter he was so friendly and pleasant. I hope everyone reading this review can experience having Matthew as a waiter. Just a overall great guy. The food was great 10/10 but Matthew’s service made my experience 100/100.

Best sushi east of Raleigh! Atmosphere a 3 because AC condensation dripping from ceiling on floor and on my wife’s head. Had to request to move tables. Water drip spots visible on floor in several locations. They say they have had repair people out already.

Went there tonight. Food was great and fair priced. Would’ve been a 10/10 experience but the AC is leaking currently and it dropped into my husbands food. When we notified the staff 1) we were told they were already aware of the issue and they had just not fixed it yet 2) no manager came to speak to us or offer any kind of solution. We received 10% discount on the ticket from one of our servers but I’m not sure if I’ll go back because I’m fearful of the danger they are willingly putting the customers in.

Great food, but dishes are forgotten often. Every time I’ve been there so far they’ve forgotten a dish for my table. Despite that, the food is good enough to keep me coming back for more. Their rolls and sashimi are both superb, as are their tempura and udon.

The place is really nice and the customer service was great. The food was not up to par today. The steak and shrimp were hot, but the rice was room temperature. I wish the rice was hot along with the steak and shrimp, would have been a really good meal.
