I was craving sushi, so I decided to check out this spot on my sister’s recommendation. The place wasn’t busy when I arrived, so I was seated right away and given the menu. After ordering my drink, I took some time to explore their sushi options. I went with a crab roll and a dragon roll.
Despite the restaurant being not so busy, my food took slightly longer than expected, which was surprising. The crab roll was decent, though dipping it in soy sauce and spicy mayo enhanced the flavor. The dragon roll, on the other hand, was excellent—so much so that I ordered a second one! The restaurant had a great atmosphere. Customer service was good.

Andy is the best chef! Every time we get him our food is noticeably better. We come 2-4 times a month and honestly hope he’s our chef each visit. Steak, chicken, shrimp extra fried rice every single time!

Just ate her this past Sunday afternoon and I’m extremely disappointed in the service of their new servers. Typically I get served by Momo or Destiny and they great, friendly, professional, hardworking and quick service. And the service from the chefs is always amazing as well. This is the second time I’ve been served by this new girl, I don’t know her name but she’s a very short woman with glasses, and it’s been another disappointment. They were not busy but the service was so slow. Seemed like she only had one other table and could not keep up. After dropping off our soups and salads she never returned to the table. After having to go to the front of the restaurant to get a straw from Destiny I saw her sitting at an empty table on her phone. Every other table was getting attentive and fast service. And to top things off when I got home I noticed gratuity was already added on my check. No wonder she barely did anything. I had to call the restaurant to have the added tip taken off. If it was any of the usual services I would not have minded giving the extra tip. Next time I have her as a service I’m walking out.

Sushi was very good but my server had a major attitude and wasn’t very friendly. The place was about 30 minutes from closing however I thought it wouldn’t be an issue since I was seated. The only option I could order with sushi which was fine since that’s what I came for primarily. Perhaps I should have got up when she told me to hurry up and order the kitchen’s closing soon lol. Also, the 18% gratuity that’s automatically added to the bill so I guess there’s no real incentive to be nice.

Tried this hibachi after our favorite gets busy. Sorry we did, as the chicken was bland, no flavor, they give you half the portion size of vegetables that are also bland. They give you half the serving size of rice. When I got my check, I am glad I looked twice as they added the 18% tip for a party of 2. I have never seen that before. Sorry to say, I won’t be back. Sakegura in Snellville is by far superior.

The food was very good. The sushi was delicious. It tastes like they use fresh ingredients. The chef was very friendly and made our experience great. He cracked lots of jokes and kept us laughing. The hibachi was good. The service was great. Our server made sure all our needs were met. We will definitely add this place to our hibachi rotation.
P.S. They add 18% gratuity to all checks. Our server definitely provided good service, so I didn’t mind paying it. I hope they keep providing good service if they are going to automatically add the tip.

Me and my family have been coming to this Shogun location for a couple of years now and we are always treated with nothing but kindness from all staff and members. Momo is an amazing waitress who never fails to make us feel at home. She is always making sure we have everything we need to make our dinner delightful from remembering our orders from previous visits to connecting with us on a personal level. The cooks do an exceptional job at making the food perfect to your needs, all whilst putting on a lovely show for all families to enjoy. Overall, Shogun has an amazing atmosphere and is a wonderful place to have a dinner with family or friends.

At first, I wasn’t going to leave a review, but I woke up thinking about it because I feel like I wasted $40. I paid for my food because the waitress was great and the group at my table was having a good time—I didn’t want to make a scene.
The cook did offer to remake my food, but I already knew something was off when he burned the eggs. No one else seemed to notice, but I did, and the grill stayed burnt the entire time. My rice was crunchy, though the vegetables were good so I ate those. I understood it was late and we were the last ones served, which I didn’t mind because of the time.
But when it came to the shrimp, I couldn’t eat it. I kept spitting it out. It had a bad taste—cooked, but as if it had been soaked in something strange. It definitely wasn’t like the shrimp I’m used to from this place. The grill was never cleaned properly and stayed dirty and crispy the whole time. Once the cook noticed I wasn’t satisfied, he offered to clean the grill and remake my shrimp, but at that point I didn’t want to cause a fuss or risk getting him in trouble.
I left a $5 tip, hoping it went to the waitress because she really was a nice lady and did her job well. This was actually the first time I’ve had an experience like this here—the food is normally good. But I woke up this morning upset, realizing I basically paid $40, came home hungry, and couldn’t get rid of the oily, disgusting taste in my mouth.

Brought a large party in for a holiday dinner. Not a good experience at all. Warm and muggy in restaurant, and your feet stick to the dirty carpet wherever you walk. Appetizers not served prior to meal (brought at the end), and took 40 min AFTER being done to get a to-go order that was placed at the beginning of service. (Med/rare hibachi steak and white rice.) Ranch dressing is water. No manager on site to speak to, and when I called the next day, still ‘no manager’. Have always had a good experience at the Flowery Branch location. This was miserable.

Juan was an amazing server. If we had a problem he fixed it right away. He got the whole table order correct. The group that was sitting with us had a special request and they took amazing care of him. The chef did an wonderful job cooking our food and he played with the food to make my toddler laugh. If we were to come here again. I hope we get both their chef and Juan as our servers. I don’t regret choosing this place to spend our 5th anniversary.
