This was my first time visiting this place. I didn’t find the place to be as filthy as others have mentioned, however, I did notice a word smell upon entering and the room was a bit too dark for my liking.
Service
We had a party of 5 and was tended to very quickly. Almost immediately after receiving our drinks, the chef arrived.
The chef was very entertaining and friendly
Food
The food is a iffy subject. I’m the moment it was very delicious but once the food sat longer enough and the excitement was over, there was a terrible after taste.
On the plus side, a good Samaritan paid for our meal! What nice suprise and blessing!
Recommendation
I wouldn’t recommend this place for Hibachi but I do recommend that everyone eat at a Hibachi grill at least once!

My husband and I always wanted to visit here and we finally did. The service was fast but the food was greasy. The shrimp has that sea taste that most are not fond of. As soon as I got home I had to brush brush brush. It was edible but we won’t be visiting here again due to the greasy food.
Also I’m not sure if it was because we choose to set at a table instead of in front of the hibachi cook but we didn’t like the greasy taste sorry.

I moved up to Baytown in September. My boyfriend and I have eaten at many restaurants but I will have to say that Shogun has been the best! The food is great and the entertainment was awesome!! A place we will visit more often!!!!

Today was my sixth visit to Shogun in the past few years, but my first visit in well over a year. My first several visits were always wonderfully remarkable, but sadly, I can not say the same today.
Our server was very thoughtful and attentive, but sadly the food was very mediocre. I’ve never been served food so cold. It wasn’t just barely warm, but it was almost cold. Not just cool, COLD! Cold steak, cold vegetables, cold shrimp. Just very disappointing. Thankfully, it was still moist and very well flavored. If it has been hot, I’d not be disappointed at all.
It is worth noting in all my other visits I’ve always sat at the hibachi grill and eaten the food fresh off the grill, this time I ordered from the kitchen and sat at a normal table. Maybe that’s the difference. But still, I’d never expect cold food.
