Although the restaurant was crowded, we were promptly greeted and seated by the very friendly staff. I ordered the chicken hibachi and a shrimp tempura roll, while my husband got the steak hibachi (pictured). The hibachi dishes came with shrimp (not pictured), which didn’t seem to be listed on the menu. Since my husband is allergic, I ended up with his portion, and the staff handled the situation quickly and professionally.

They were attentive, checked on us often, and made sure we had everything we needed. The food was absolutely delicious. The atmosphere was pleasant—not too noisy—and the space was nice to look at. The prices were definitely worth it for the quality and quantity of food we received.

We’ll definitely be returning!

Server Kaleb was great! Very accommodating and friendly. The 5 star is because of his service. Make sure you ask for him to be your server. I had the Thai Casserole in a bowl. Was a great choice. Would return just to order this dish again.

It was a very nice restaurant, mostly specializing in Japanese sushi and hibachi. They have other things on the menu and we thought about getting Thai food because we love Thai food but decided not to. Both my daughter and I had hibachi chicken and it was quite a big serving and I thought it was a little odd that it but it came with both noodles and rice but it was decent. I have the ginger salad. It was a bit disappointing because it’s just lettuce with creamy ginger salad dressing. Our local place serves the same salad but with a little extra stuff other than lettuce. I do like the salad dressing. I think overall the meal was good but I don’t think it was great. The restaurant is very nice and the service was great. We also thought it was a bit pricey as everything was about $3-$5 more than other similar restaurants we’ve been to.

Pretty run of the mill experience for Shogun, I suppose. Only note is on the scallops. I’m not sure if this is common at other locations, but the scallops were cut in half and chewy – just not great. I understand cost cutting but this seemed in bad taste… figuratively and actually. Especially for something that comes with premium price tag. Service was fine. I’m not saying, I’d never return, but I would likely choose other options in the surrounding areas first.

My friend and I chose to celebrate here because we love hibachi, but unfortunately, the experience was very disappointing and not something I would recommend.

We were assured seating the night before the event, yet on the actual day, some of our guests were left without seats and had to sit with people they didn’t know. There were multiple communication breakdowns, which immediately set a stressful tone for what was supposed to be a celebration.

The worst part was feeling rushed throughout the meal. We weren’t even done eating when servers started placing new plates on the table for the next customers. Our guests were clearly still eating, yet we were pressured to finish quickly. When concerns were raised, the response of “this is what the manager told me” felt dismissive and unprofessional. The servers showed little empathy, were rude, and did not handle feedback well, customer service training is badly needed.

To make matters worse, the food was mediocre at best, especially for the price. For a hibachi restaurant, the quality did not justify the cost.

We are not upset with any individual person, we are disappointed in the service and overall experience. What should have been a happy celebration turned into a stressful one. This place has a lot to work on, and I’d recommend staying away until significant improvements are made. NOT RECOMMENDING

This place is decent. I was hoping for a more traditional hibachi where we can see the food being prepared but I didn’t let it ruin my experience when I realized this place wasn’t like that.
The cheesesteak egg-rolls were terrific. I love the crust they use. The yaki udon wasn’t bad. Didn’t stand out to me either. I prefer chopsticks when I eat but wasn’t offered any. My refills on water stayed coming though. The sushi looks good.

I was a regular Shogun customer for many years when I lived in PA, and enjoyed lunch with my family here yesterday and can say for certain it’s still one of the best, most consistent sushi/hibachi restaurants in Central PA. Shogun never disappoints and the food is fantastic.

The restaurant has cool dark decor with friendly, attentive staff and so many menu options that anyone can find something to enjoy.

Hibachi dining is always enjoyable and regular table side dining is perfect for a casual yet upscale-feel. Food is presented well and prices are appropriate for the quality.

If you’re looking for a tasty yet budget-friendly meal, check out Shogun!

Friends invited me and my boyfriend here for dinner. It was all of our first time here. It was empty when we got here. Food came out quickly. 3 out 4 of us ordered hibachi which was amazing. I am the picky one out of the group so when I told everyone that I thought everything was great they all were like wow. Finally a place she approves of haha. Definitely would come back here.

STAY AWAY!!! You would think this place would be busy this time of year for company Christmas gatherings and even regular customers! Now I understand WHY!! THIS IS OUR LAST TIME! For starters our waitress had an attitude. By all means.. provide good customer svc– smile, be accommodating and kind- I promise your tips will increase!!
My husband & I requested zucchini & onions only HOW HARD IS THIS??!! The cook & waitress could not understand this simple request. We ended up having to call a manager over to make this happen. The cook then proceeded to cook the onions and zucchini on the cold side of the grill (this was definitely intentional) the result was crunchy undercooked vegetables. Really!! Upon leaving I explained to manger what happened and also explained that you Must have good customer service & good food for customers to patronize this business! If this place was on point the parking lot & tables would be full along with a waiting list. Save yourself headache–stay home or go somewhere else to have an enjoyable meal & experience. Beware Stay Away!!
