My first time here and I can say it will not be my last! From the service to the food, it was all great! I visited for lunch with my husband and the ambience was nice. It was low-light and not too cold like other restaurants. I tried my very first bento box (steak) and it was amazing and satisfied my hunger. The meat was juicy and nicely flavored. The rest of the meal was also delicious. My bento box had an orange included which added the perfect contrast in taste to my meal. I’d highly recommend this place to anyone and I will for sure visit again and see about trying more of their food options!

We had a good time overall at Shogun Hibachi Grill and Sushi. The chef wasn’t the best hibachi chef we’ve had, but he did a decent job and listened when we asked for our vegetables to be well done, which we appreciated. The food was fine—good, but nothing particularly memorable.
The restaurant was clean, well designed, and well lit, and everyone we interacted with was very friendly. The prices were also reasonable, which was a nice surprise.
That said, it wasn’t memorable enough for us to feel the need to come back. We were also surprised that they don’t offer hot tea and that there are no sauce options for the hibachi—just one standard sauce, with no teriyaki or alternatives. The sauce was okay, but not something that stood out.
Overall, a pleasant experience with fair prices and good service, just not a place we’d go out of our way to return to.

Stay away from this place. The poor waiter is doing everything — bartender, host, server, even cook. The place is completely dead and honestly needs to close down. The food was just okay; the only good part was the hibachi cook who actually did a great job. Other than that, it’s not worth your time or money.

We love this place and keep going back. The low reviews actually blow my mind as we have always had good experiences. We went again tonight and again, slam dunk. The hibachi chef was amazing, they had a robot sing happy birthday to my daughter, and the atmosphere is what you make of it- extremely kid friendly. Yes, the place hasn’t been renovated and it’s been open for awhile but honestly- that’s just not something me and my family care about. The food is delicious, the people are kind, and they do a jam up job. Thank you, Shogun & friends for making our night yet again.

First off , let me say that they were bothered that we wanted to do the hibachi instead of sit at a regular table because it was only three of us. Everything was fine at first. Then all of a sudden, while we were eating roaches started coming out at first we didn’t think it was a roach, we were unsure, and then 2 of them crawled on our table, we were able to get a picture of it. At that point we asked for the manager he never came. So I walked over to him showed him the picture of the roach that was on the table, even the waiter, seeing the roach on the table and swiped it on the floor and killed it. And then came back and apologized profusely. At that point, the manager said that he would comp my meal but he was only able to give my other two guests , fifty percent off after having to dine with roaches and your waiter , having to kill them , you should have compensated that whole meal very disappointed in how he handled the situation will never go back again.

Went during night time.
Only 2 guests in booth area including my group. Somewhat long wait time to be served. We had 3 different servers in total, which was confusing.
Had food delivered to our table that wasnt ours, which im not affected but there was only 2 groups that night which was confusing.
Total of 4 sushi rolls, with 1 being a dislike for us so we got a small discount for not being able to finish, so that was nice.

Ended up going here after a bad experience at BJ’s around the corner. We were immediately approached and seated. A minute later the server came by to take our drink order.
Was hoping to have the Sapporo Grand but was told they were all out.
My wife had chicken on a stick and I had the Steak Teriyaki. The food was cooked right a delicious.
We did not do the Hibachi this time. Next time we will do the Hibachi.
Overall, service, food, and atmosphere was good. We were treated like they want our business.
I recommend if you are in the mood for Japanese cuisine, give Shogun in the Town Center a try.

Currently writing this from the table. Our grill will not light. They refuse to move our table. We have watched two other tables fill with guests while we wait for them to relight our grill. One of them employees asked to move us and was told no. I asked to move and was not given a straight answer. This is the worst service we have had at a shogun restaurant. We will be taking our business across the street. Additionally the soda machine was not working so water and liquor or beer were only choices for drinks.
