This was the first time that we have eaten at Shoemakers. It was delicious. They have specials and everything tasted great. I had the chicken fried steak. My husband, daughter and my dad all had the 4 piece chicken and they did it was delicious. It was not overly expensive either. There were 7 of us that were on 1 ticket and it was under $100. Mind you we all got drinks and things like that. So good and price was great as well.

Shoemakers is a great truck stop restaurant for a cheap and quick quality meal. I stopped in for breakfast and had the Shoemakers special with the chicken fried steak. It was quite good. The breading on the steak was tasty. Everything else served with it was good as well. Can’t beat the price at $11.49 for all the food I got. Service was quick and friendly.
They have some really cool old gas station signage and a few old classic cars in the restaurant as well.

First time dining in Shoemaker’s Restaurant, located within the truck stop. Busy place, lack of staff during our visit.
Service: 3.5 Not enough staff. We sat for a long time to get drinks, food ordered and refills. Our server was friendly and tried hard as she had most of the tables.
Food: 4 Hot. Not a lot of flavor. Asked for crispy hash browns (outside crisp, inside mush)
Atmosphere: 4.5 Great little truck stop restaurant.
I’ll stop in or order to-go again in the future. Staffing is difficult and our server was trying to accommodate everyone – crowded.
Recommend anyone passing through Lincoln to visit.

The price for 1 pancake was $5.99 but on the bill they charged $6.99 for 2 pancakes and I made my own pancakes which was better than the price would have been, and slow service.

I visited this restaurant for the first time, and I was pleasantly surprised. The atmosphere was relaxed, and the service was excellent. The food was equally delicious. I ordered an a smoked pork chop, which was cooked to perfection and served with mashed potatoes and brown gravy. I also had peas and carrots with a side salad.

This was a random pit stop…it turned out to be a great idea! Staff was exceptionally friendly and professional. The food was great. We had French dip sandwich and also clun sandwich…the toast was a little too crunchy but everything else was good. Will be back to try another item on the menu.

Andrea was awesome. It was busy and it took awhile but her personality and sweet and helpful service deserves a good rating. The eggs were a bit undercooked for over easy and the hashbrowns tasted to oily and needed a clean flat top to be cooked on but with all the times we’ve been here. It’s usually really good food. I always get the biscuits and gravy. French toast is really good. Kariesha is also really good. She’s usually our server and she’s definitely a great server. We are returning guests and will continue to come back
Updating my review. Who puts onions in the biscuits and gravy??? Is there a new cook? We’ve been here a few times and love to keep coming back. We order the biscuits and gravy every time. This time was disturbing as we had onions served to us in the gravy.

Took forever for them to approach me so that I can order for take out. At least three people saw. Finally got to order and after waiting close to an hour, I approach and she had the audacity to give me attitude. To my fellow truckers, save your money or go to a Denny’s. They may even have better service. My food is now cold since it was probably sitting in the back. Maybe if I didn’t have a brown complexion then the service may have been different. Cool old school decorations though?

When you arrive walk right past the subway and enjoy a freshly cooked meal guaranteed to satisfy. Friendly staff that clearly has high standards for the food they serve. And all at a more than reasonable price. Make this a must stop on your next trip!
