The fried shrimp at this place is excellent. Well battered, cooked , and seasoned . The chicken is also really good. The wings are big, and they were well flavored. I tried the lemon pepper and the hot lemon pepper. The service was also really good.

I loved everything about my experience here except for the cake I ordered for dessert. It was strangely expensive, dry, and not at all representative of the other items I purchased. If the desserts are purchased from a third party, I would strongly encourage the establishment to find another vendor. The other items are just too tasty and reasonably priced to take a chance on a dessert that doesn’t enhance the experience. In fact, the desserts distract from the overall positive experience. Please excuse the photos, it was so delicious that I was half-finished before I remembered to take pictures.

The fried lobster was great…. Be sure to tell them to fry it light. The red beans and rice were amazing! My meal came with fries but someone eating the red beans and rice was raving about them so I ordered a side of them and it was the right move. The dining room was clean and quiet. We had a great experience!

This is Durham’s Best kept secret. You all do it right. Seasoned to perfection and portioned for the money spent! This was a birthday surprise for a broken hearted youth. He smiled all day long for weeks!

Today was my first time eating there. I ordered the fried founder with shrimp; came with French fries and cole slaw. The wait was not long and the food was hot. The French fries were nice and crispy!! Really enjoyed the flounder and shrimp (not greasy). I will be back….

Great seafood !! Fantastic taste! I can recommend to go for Triple Threat Combo!!! Lobster, Crab, and Shrimp “Oh My!”

Full half pound lobster tail (fried or steamed, with a Full Crab Leg Cluster covered with our famously delicious garlic sauce and a dozen sauteed large garlic shell on shrimp set on a bed of baby red potatoes, with RogerWood smoked sausage, complemented with two pieces of sweet corn. They do mot serve alcohol .

I googled seafood boil and this one came up. I was reluctant when I saw it was on broad street. Not knowing it was the side by the hospital or 9th st.
I was glad I went. Took my son there for the 16th birthday. Thinking he might want to try a seafood boil, but he did not. Instead I did. It was plentiful, fresh, seasoned well, place was clean even the rest room. From what I can tell a decent location with even an out front deck. The customer service was spot on. We got there a little past 8:00 pm Saturday and they close at 9:00pm, so again a little Leary, food would not be fresh but to my surprise I had NO complaints. Everything was cooked to order and sho nuff, sho nuff made me a believer. And it did not smell like food (fishy or fried).I am glad the reviews were good and I did not let the street name persuade me some where else.

I have already advised other people it is good and the Cole slaw was excellent.

Great place for hot fried fish near the hospital/university.With a mid 90 sanitation score, I actually was full on the whiting fish plate. I read another review about the fish fried hard and that’s true. Atmosphere was appropriate and welcoming. Staff greeted me within 60 seconds of entering. I watch as other patrons entered to see if the same energy would be given to them and it was. Definitely a returning spot. Cons, sticky tables and coleslaw was minced not shredded, looked like mush, but tasted good. Flavor wasn’t overpowering the meat. I will update when I go back and they are busy.

Been here twice and my friend and I refuse to try any other seafood place because we’re hooked on this one. Typically spend about ~$50 which in my experience is pretty average for a seafood platter. Love that they let me substitute the potatoes for more corn without upcharge either! The food is good and well seasoned, the wait times aren’t long, and the desserts are sweet. Overall 100/10!
