I wish that cream cheese actually made it to my bagel…
If this is how this place is being run, avoid at all costs. There’s no way I’d ever go back even out of sheer desperation. Food was completely awful and for the amount they charge on food, it should at least be made well enough for you to provide a tip that they so demand. Nope, absolutely horrible.
Avoid being a vegan, ordering food, doing anything that causes a major inconvenience for the staff to do their jobs, also avoid those hash browns that are the equivalent of eating Sandy, gritty bites.
We got a few chocolate chip, plain and sesame bagels. All tasted great and the cream cheese tub was much better than store bought.
The service was quick and had no issues at all.
We’ll be stopping here again in the future.
The bagels just tasted weird, I ate half then threw it away. They remind me a lot of a store bought bagel like Thomas bagels but worse. Maybe this is Maryland bagels? I don’t know but I’ll stick to pancakes down here and maybe bring my bagels down with me. Decent speed service and store was spacious with seating. Also had knishes which was cool but didn’t try them.
Pros:
• Staff were very friendly and welcoming.
• The establishment offers a dedicated kosher menu section, which may appeal to those seeking kosher options. (My comments below refer only to the regular menu.)
• The French toast was acceptable in flavor, though my toddler did not enjoy it.
Cons:
• The food quality did not meet expectations.
• The coffee menu lists both light roast and dark roast options, but when I inquired, I was told only one roast is brewed and staff could not specify which. While not a major concern in itself, the coffee I received was underwhelming. Not good in flavor, cheap tasting.
• Bagels were smaller than typical Dunkin’ or New York style bagels and lacked the taste and texture of high-quality bagels. My egg and cheese bagel included a pre-made egg patty rather than a freshly cooked egg, which diminished the overall experience.
Overall:
While the staff were friendly and the kosher offerings may be of interest to some, I did not find the regular menu items to offer good value or quality.
I personally prefer coffee and bagels that feel fresh and authentic, and for that reason, I would not return.
