We started with a vegetarian roll and the “Sprouted Kiss” roll. Both were very good. I’d get them again. Rice texture, ingredient quality, and flavors. The presentation was good. We also had mushroom garlic soup and that was good as well.

For dinner I had the Spicy Black Bean Udon noodle dish with Tofu. It had a nice bite and was a very filling and interesting. She was happy with her Chicken Katsu. Portions were large. We both wound up with extra to take home.

There was not an NA beer available, but the ginger beer that they offered was very good. It had a strong flavor that encouraged sipping. She said her cucumber-infused vodka/saki martini was good. And strong. She enjoyed it.

Service was excellent. Prompt, informative, perfectly paced, and friendly. There was not a pay-at-the-table mobile point of sale option for paying. Reservation recommended.

The atmosphere is interesting. The old mansion vibe isn’t what you’d expect for a Japanese restaurant, but it works. We did ask for a table away from the window because it was very cold outside the night we were there. Moving wasn’t an issue.

I was at this venue ~30 years ago. It was interesting to return. Overall, we had a very nice dining experience. We didn’t know what to expect, and we were pleasantly surprised.

Pretty interesting lowkey place. Looks like a house on the outside, but is an old school dark vibe inside. Staff was super nice. Food was pretty good.

Whatever coating is on the Spicy Edamame and the Shishito Peppers is amazing. I loved those

Went on a date with Gf and food was amazing. The atmosphere was really nice as well and overall was a great experience. Definitely recommend the salmon on the beach, it melts in your mouth. Only reason i’m giving it four stars is due to the small portions, it’s definitely smaller than you’d think.

We were a party of 8 for my nephew’s BD. We were seated at 7 pm and had to walk over crushed food on the floor from the table next to us. It was vacant, but covered with dishes and food, both on the table and the floor. This unsightly mess was in front of us from the time we were seated until moments before we left (at 9:15 pm)
We enjoyed the food and our server was excellent but we did wait well over an hour for our meal.

Food is great. Server is friendly and attentive. Little bit surprised that they are using ancient method of managing reservations.

So good! I called and had a large group, not sure if the restaurant could easily accommodate me and they did! The two staff members over the phone were super sweet and were able to schedule a table for a group of 17. The server taking care of us had her hands full with large group but executed flawlessly. We all received the correct food, everything tasted great, the chocolate mousse is fantastic 10/10 and she was great about refills/drinks. Menu had a wide variety of options and various price points and was affordable. We came for my fiances birthday and server even brought a candle and we were able to sing plus they took a picture of our group for us! Many of my friends had never been here before or even knew about it but said they had a wonderful time and are glad they were able to come, and will come again! Thank you team Shiro!

Shiro has the best Japanese food I have ever had yet! My partner and I entered the amazing white mansion turned restaurant and where amazed by the grand staircase and where quickly directed to an available table. The food was hot, very flavorful and the waitress was very attentive. My only complaint is that some tables are a bit dimly lit and would benefit to some kind of lamp on the table, otherwise it was an amazing experience. While Shiro isn’t the cheapest place in town, it is well worth the price and a great way to spurge if you are celebrating a special occasion.

Husband and I had an appointment at 7:30 not far from here. So I googled close sushi places and this popped up. Didnt look at the pictures. Very cool building.
Super snotty, rude guy host came up. He said, ‘Yes?’ I said, ‘2 of us’ he asked if we had a reservation…we didn’t, I didnt look close enough to see that we needed one. He looked down mumbled, ’20 more minutes and we will be full….this way.’ Sat us.

Everything else was absolutely fantastic. Waitress was SO sweet. Good sushi. Good drinks. Very cool vibe.

We went to leave but walked pasts the host stand to look at the bar and see what was on the other side. Looked very cool. As we turned around the rude host and 2 gentleman were standing behind us. The host had his eyebrows raised and a scowl of ‘you are in our way.’ Then rolled his eyes as we apologized and he walked past us. My husband even noticed and commented on how rude he was.
Anyways, we will be back because of the food and the ambiance. Just ignore the pretentious host.
