Had been craving oysters and fried shrimp all week. Scored at shipwrecks. Thanks, Hailey. Fries perfect, horseradish tarter sauce spicy (as it should be) and all filling. Only suggestion and surprise, slaw was bland. Work on it. Got a shirt and sticker also. Thanks,

My broiled fresh North Carolina flounder was excellent. Tried two local beers both tops. Instant fans of any place with a doggy menu! Joey loved his chicken served on a souvenir frisbee. Staff are all so courteous and friendly. Lots of outside seating and parking.

We’ve tried to go here several times. There is a consistent issue – you can stand on the “wait here to be seated” podium for 10 minutes or more, without being acknowledged. It doesn’t matter the time of day, or if the place is busy. The fourth time was the charm.

Great lunch spot heading to Manteo! Erin was awesome! Started with a good Strawberry Daiquiri, then Carolina Crab Dip topped with Melted Cheddar Cheese – Served with Hand-cut Crostini. Entrees were Capt. John’s Oysters – fried plump oysters served with house salad, coleslaw and hushpuppies! Also the Friday lunch special: Mahi Fish & Chips with Sriracha Sauce!! All sooooo good!

Seafood was really fresh! Service was good and fast. Price is what you would expect based on market prices. A good selection of beer and cocktails. Definitely worth stopping in while visiting OBX

I wanted to like Shipwrecks very much. Unfortunately, this wasn’t the case. We were seated promptly, but 10-15 minutes went by with several servers walking by our table, none of whom acknowledged our presence, let alone offered water. Finally, we signaled to a nearby server to ask if we could have some water.

We ordered take out through online ordering at 6:35pm on a Thursday evening. Upon checkout it said our food would be ready an hour later (at 7:37pm). We arrived at that time and were greeted by the manager who informed us our “order had been missed” and gave us the option to either re-order through take out or to be seated “now” inside to eat. The restaurant was visibly busy but we opted to just sit inside and order as we were already there. We sat at a table and several minutes later the waitress came to our table to inform us the kitchen was “significantly understaffed” and that it wait times for food were extensive.

Hands down the best burger I’ve had in all of the Outer Banks. Old Bay wings were amazing. The hand-cut fries were delicious too. This might be “bar/sports bar food” – it’s really a cut above the rest, you can tell their kitchen is serious about quality. Thanks again! Will return later this year and/or next season!
