I was in Shipley at 7am on 11/20/25 I was expecting to get fresh hot/warm donuts but instead I got cold donuts that tasted like they had been there for a while. I remember going to Shipley and the donuts were so good I couldn’t stop eating them. Even the caucasian hostess seamed like she was tired. No good morning no smile. My husband said they sucked and leaves a different taste in your mouth.

Really didn’t deserve one star, Shirley’s Donuts is straight trash. I see why Tupelo changed their name to Scarlett, I wouldn’t want to be associated with the garbage Shipley’s Donuts presents to their customers. I honestly wanted to turn my car around, walk back in there and demand my money back, after throwing these donuts where they belong, garbage. Shipley’s in Starkville need to take a drive to Tupelo and beg Scarlett to teach y’all how to make delicious donuts. The glaze donuts I purchased in the 12 o clock hour noon time on 6/4/2025, had no glaze on them. I think maybe it’s time to close business, I’m just saying.

Overpriced Do-Nuts.
Line is 20 minutes long in the morning.
Service is like fast food squared.
At the prices they charge they should be smiling and laughing at the prices they charge for donuts.

Took my Grandson here for his first donut shopping experience. Their selection wasn’t as broad as usual but the quality was spot on and the staff was friendly and accommodating. I recommend swinging in early for the best choices.

Their plain glazed donuts and Sausage Egg & Cheese Kolaches are awesome. I have had kolaches at very fewer places which are as delicious as here.

Very disappointed in the chocolate “filled” from Starkville. It was barely chocolate touched. I grew up with Shipleys in my home town and my favorite was always chocolate filled. They were always stuffed with the light creamy chocolate that squeezed out when you bit into them. Our Shipleys closed and the closest one is twenty minutes away. I haven’t had one in over two years and wanted to treat myself to after two years of very little sugar. I drove the twenty minutes over there and twenty minutes back. Sat down with my treat and after three bites had not seen any chocolate. There ended up being less than a thimble full of filling. The photo is of the second one I ate and you can see I ate all around to see if it was as lacking as the first one. It was. Oh well, I’m back on my health kick now anyway. Thanks for showing me I wasn’t missing anything I guess.

Love getting the glazed donuts delivered the only bad ones I have had yet have been the chocolate covered doughnuts. They didn’t taste right and were bad stale. Otherwise it’s a great place in town for fresh doughnuts

Stopped by this morning. Service was great. Plenty of parking. Friendly staff. Shipley’s do-nuts are the best . The glaze is not over the top too sweet. The dough has a better taste than that place with the sign. The price is reasonable. The location is great. Shopping near by.
